Texas Hold'em in Dallas

What's up everybody? I love playing cards and think it's a lot of fun guys and even gals that enjoy having a beer and joshing around. Does anybody on F-chat know of any friendly card games in D/FW?

I'm not looking for high-stakes bet the farm kinda poker...just good fun!

 

Okay so it sounds like we need to start one then!

I live downtown (EXTREMELY EASY TO GET TO)... 10 minutes from Belt Line down the Tollway.


$5 SECURED/VALET garage parking for visitors, BUT we've gotta setup/party room with pool tables, full kitchen, stereos, plasma's, and a full size poker table. So it's a perfect setup. AND there's a killer place to eat downstairs!

I say we try one next Tuesday evening 7 or 8? See how it goes and who knows, maybe we make it a regular guys night out!

Tournament style w/a $40 buy in sounds friendly enough doesn't it? I'd be willing to go $100 but that starts getting up there and adding up if it's gonna be a regular get together.

I dunno, everybody chime in and let me know your thoughts. Sounds to me like an awesome excuse to get away from the wives & girlfriends, drive our cars, and misbehave a little!

 

I'll bring it up to everybody Saturday at Starbucks and see who all's interested. Sounds like three for sure!

Would Tuesday be a good night of the week to do a regular game?

 

Sounds cool. I appreciate the offer and we can all consider it. Thing is, I'd like to see if we can make it weekly sorta thing. I know I'm always free on Tuesday's so that way it would be at a place we all know it's gonna be every week. You just show up sorta thing. But who knows. I'm open to all ideas.

I'll bring it up at Saturday's meet and see.

I didn't have a chance to mention the card game at the meet. I had to skin out early. Anyhow seems to be a lack of interest for the time being. I know Jarrett had mentioned he's wanting to do one, but seems to be pretty busy with the new house and work...so maybe we should just let this Tuesday slide by?

If we get some interest I'd still like to do one, but it don't look good. You need at least six players to do one of these. Of course anybody's welcome, so chime in or send a PM and let me know your thoughts everyone. Best days to consider and so on...

I'll keep the thread alive as long as I see some interest!

It's more to me about just gettin together and hangin with the guys...but holdem is a really cool game.
