    has anyone replaced their 355 spider top (fabric roof) with a geniune one from Ferrari. If so, how much did it cost, and where did you get it.

    Daniel (ricambe), can you let me know price and availability on an OEM fabric roof, black.

    My roof was replaced by the factory dealer not long after I purchased the car, it was part of the sale agreement. They fitted a genuine Ferrari fabric and I understand the cost was quite reasonable, although I do know of a local company that have the pattern to make a fabric roof for a 355, if you like I can enquire regarding costs?

    Thanks guys for your replys. My spider top is in reasonable condition, with the usual wear marks where the top gets scrunched against the fire wall. There are two small holes in the roof, one each side where the linkages press against the roof when open.

    My car is getting a full respray, so i thought it would be good to get a new roof.

    Hi Darren, mine also has a couple of small holes but since I only drive it with the top down it doesn't really bother me. Who's painting it?

    Try sending a PM to 'stevew' he's the guy doing the 348 spider rebuild, he put on a new roof, it's a beautiful fit and looks great quality.

    Still awaiting to hear back if anyone has replaced their spider top with an original top. Doesn't anyone know if it can be bought, and what the part no. is.

    My original roof has a leather lining on the underside, is this standard on original 355 spider roofs? Aftermarket roofs will not have this lining.

    Thanks Daniel, have you supplied one of these before? Do you have to do a special order for this part? Do you know if it has the leather lining on the underside?

    Darren, I have had one of these fitted to my car, genuine part, yes it has the leather but I am not sure if it is replaced when fitting the new top, can't remember exactly how that area looks but if it is attached to the canvas part then it is replaced.

    Excellent responses guys, thank you. All spider owners should take note, as all fabric tops will need to be replaced one day.

    I would be very interested in hearing back from K17har once the aftermarket top has been fitted.

    I can buy an aftermarket one from Sydney for around $2000 AUD plus about $1000 AUD to fit by Gary Blackman trimming (Melbourne).

    The genuine product from Daniel at $3000 USD is a reasonable price. I've heard there's a lot of work in fitting the top properly.
