    I need to complete that before ...

    While re-installing the engine, I will include a dedicated harness to place the MAF combiner close to the Motronic rather than in the engine bay. All is on the table now, ready to be installed once I have checked that all is OK after the major.

    Very cool project.

    Has anyone with the capability of re-flashing these cars attempted to tune it speed density?

    Not sure how much work it would be for you to create but the software I use to tune GM cars has a built in histogram that allows you to take maf vs afr or fuel trim error and apply that error to the maf transfer table until it is correct. (which makes tuning a new maf rather easy)

    Seems like this may be another option. 85mm programmable maf.

    They can flow your current maf/induction to generate a maf transfer table for their maf for $50

    You could then fine tune the cars fuel trims and wot air/fuel ratio using an obd2 scanner and wideband (preferably on dyno) with their software.

    Porsche knows how to squeeze out over 420 HP from a flat 6 engine with huge air intakes no turbo GT3, now I'm sure there is a way to modify the air intakes on the 355. I have the CDA BMC air intakes on my car and I do feel an increase in HP as throttle response is immediate with no delay and at 1000 RPM in 6th you push hard on the throttle and you can feel the car take off much better than OEM setup but I'm sure there is more that can be done.

    Pretty neat set up there. The Maf really needs to be on the compressor intake side of the system. I have seen Maf's split and or fail quickly on the pressure side of a turbocharged system....many times.

    There is a company called Full Throttle Speed and Style that makes a Maf-Translator. It allows almost any vehicle to use the larger GM sensors such as the 88mm one used on the Z06. They also have a 4" MAF pipe (integrated MAF and AIT) with a translator. The product also lets you adjust the fuel curve at different stages of the RPM range. The newer GM Mafs are rebuildable!
