My California is at the dealer with problems I have mentioned here before. Specifically, the directional air flow does not "remember" after the car sits off for a while. Specifically, I like the air direction straight out of the dash and also toward my feet. If the knob is set at that setting, it will only blow toward my feet until I rotate the knob and reset it. It is an annoyance but a problem nonetheless.
Also, my outboard driver's side rear view mirror does not line up with the support. I have pivoted it and it rests askew. It is perfectly aligned on the passenger side. The dealer said that they discussed it with FNA, and they said that they refused to do anything about it!
WTF?!!! I told them that this was unacceptable and it must be perfectly (or nearly so) aligned. I don't think that is an unreasonable request given that the car was purchased new. Sorry I don't have pics as the car is at the dealer. If they don't rectify it, I will post pics. Oh, btw, there is a campaign for the "belly pan" on all Californias.

Not all of them, just certain build dates.

Sometimes there is a miscommunication between dealer and factory. It may just be the way it is being described on one end or the other.

Wow. That is troubling.....although I am confident that you will get FNA/the dealer to make good on the repair. You are certainly not being unreasonable.

On the "belly pan" issue, please enlighten me. Is this a scraping/bottoming out issue?

Hmm I have a feeling my car may be displaying the airflow issue but the other way round!, I have it set on the face level and floor setting and it was only directing the air to the face level until I chose another setting and returned it then it did both. I'll try it again and advise!

Mine does not remember manual air flow settings either, that seems to always revert to an auto mode, probably a software issue. Concerning your driver's mirror, mine became way off within a few weeks of picking it up. The first time I took it to the dealer to get the magnaride shock software update I pointed it out. They ordered one from Ferrari and it came a few weeks later fully painted and ready to go from the factory. It was lined up perfectly. Guess what, 5 months later it is again out of alignment. Who knows what is going on inside. Anyone else with a driver's mirror to base alignment problem???

Interesting that the passenger side is perfect. I will mention it to the dealer Monday as they are picking it up since the electronic parking brake is indicating a failure. They tell me that a reset may fix it but since the dealer is 2.5 hours away I don't want to get stuck driving it there and having to hitchhike home.

Problems yes, but I would not trade it for anything (maybe a 599, new one that is) until the upgrade Cali comes out then it is time for a trade. 10,900 miles on it as of tonight since Dec 09!

I have noticed the misaligned mirror thing as well... Very strange that so many cars are doing the same thing.

Me, too, please. I need to pay more attention to these things. I had mine in for campaign 310 or some such, but no one mentioned the belly pan.

Campaign 330 Under Tray Spacers. (belly pan)

All this does (and only applies to certain chassis numbers) is add metal plates to the undersheild to buffer electronic parking brake cables. This is an update, not a recall.

Campaign 310 is NCS software update.

Thanks for the explintation. As mine is expected to arrive sometime in September (or a little later b/c of the Factory summer break) I imagine this issue will be dealt with on the assembly line.

If the car shows up at the dealer with any campaign it will be taken care of prior to delivery to you. Congrats on the Cali!

FNA continues to give the dealer the run-around. I am happy witht the dealer, but FNA must stand behind their products. I must have my car back next week for a FCA event. It will unlikely be resloved by then. I will post pics as soon as I get her back. Amazingly, they were able to reproduce the airflow issue. Now they're "looking into it."
Like Rick, I too am happy with the California despite the annoyances. Fortunatley, I have a great dealer, who makes it easy to get her in to take care of the problems. It gives me time to clean out my garage!

My Electronic Parking Brake failure repaired itself today. I have photos of the mirror and will post them next week as I am out the door shortly.

Have you tried folding the mirrors in and back out again via the switch? perhaps they just need to recentre themselves

Yep, mine too. I will ask the dealer to see what the factory says since they already changed mine once. No computer reset or whatever fixes the left mirror.

I know that I am oversimplifying it, but it seems to me that to adjust or modify the lock position would be relatively easy to do. They get it right on the passenger mirror.

Started the car Saturday morning and received two warnings. One was the "automatic hold/EPB" failure and the other was a manettino failure.

I always drive in Sport mode but the failure defaulted the car to Comfort Mode. I drove the car for about 30 minutes and shut her down. I restarted the car about 6 hours later and both warnings were gone. I plan to take it to the dealer just to be safe but it was strange to get two failures at once.

My dealer told me that FNA refuses to correct the mirror problem. They say it is unfixable.
WTF? They have replaced others', which didn't fix the problem. At least they tried. Why can't they just rengineer the mirror to align? I know that would cost something. But, in a $230k car, the mirror alignment ought to be perfect (or at least close)! It lines up on the passenger side. I am a bit po. I will write a letter to FNA.

Hit it with the garage door and break it off. That'll get you a new one.

This car is appearing to be a bit of a nightmare quality wise. Maybe they rushed it into production to fast??

Just to play devil's advocate, I've had no problems with mine. Of course, I don't have 10k miles on it either, so that could play a part. :)
