The driver wan unconscious which is why they deployed the helicopter ambulance. He is at the hospital now but should be out soon. Hopefully no serious injuries.

 

Good news Ralph...it was a nasty accident and could have been much worse.

Congrats to Steve Tandy on his drive in the Daytona on Sat evening and overall win in the Lola T70 yesterday.

I didn't get the E-type driver's name but the car looked in very bad shape, anyone heard how he's doing?

 

Nice pics. The driver was Carlos Monteverde and I hear he was taken to hospital with concussion (he was cut from the car because they were worried about possible spinal injury which thankfully wasn't the case) but was recovered suffieciently to be relased later.

Thanks. I saw the E-type on the back of a low loader, it looked in a terrible state. Good to hear he was released from hospital.

Much as I enjoyed looking at the very attractive young lady, I must point out that his name is Stirling - not Sterling

And to be even more pedantic - that was not taken at Silverstone last weekend :-o
