I love the look, i have long had fantasies of buying that "flag" painted CS , matte-blacking it, and having the ultimate stealth bomber.

Sounded in the "CS Market" thread that someone was buying the flagmobile, but its still out there for sale, anyone know the latest?

    Probably was a crashed car.
Alot of those matte black cars are .. they get half arse bodywork, and cover it up with a matte black finish so you can't see the imperfections

Oh please, what a sweeping statement!

I have seen quite a few matt black cars now and quite simply its a statement, none of them where 'half arsed bodywork' cars. Mostly its people wanting to be different, harmless fun and easy to do with the latest wraps. Even Ford have got in on the bandwagon in the UK with their Ford Focus RS500. Only available in Matt Black wrap....

i am not against wrapping. i just would not want to wrap my own in matte black anymore. just a personal change of taste.

on the other hand, i have toyed with the idea of wrapping the cs in carbon fibre pattern. its shiny. and looks like a pagani zonda.

Lately I've seen some matt-wraps, but in colors different than black. These new wraps look really great.

What's with the air intake on the hood? Ram air for the AC?

kind of, since race cars dont get much air inside the cabin to cool off with out having a window down which can affect performance and some times cant be had with out a window net ect.. a naca duct brings in more air by the way it is designed with out disrupting airflow characteristics. Sounds like a bunch of bs, maybe it is.. but that is my guess :) Going on i have seen a cool box in the trunk of challenge cars going in that area.

I know it's not a Ferrari, but I'm tossing it in for comparison's sake. It seems as the Lamborghini has even less gloss in the paint than the Ferrari's do. It's almost closer to primer than matte paint in appearance. Perhaps if the Ferrari had identical paint it'd be more appealing, instead of seeming stuck in the middle, so to speak.
