Rubens was a lot quicker, he has suffered being MS's lap dog for years, I would have thought MS would have cut him some slack, but that aside I know its racing but it wasn't like there was a run off area, scary stuff IMO, and not needed at this stage of the game.[/QUOTE]

Yeah I do agree with you on that.

Nicely done by Webber. Seb you need to read the rule book mate. Too many poles and too few victories. Clearly Seb is not ready to be WDC.

Hey, he is in the running for the WDC and has a good chance to win it. So when he gets screwed over by an unnecessary safety car then you would be pissed too.

It's pretty obvious that the team asked Vettel to back Alonso up, but Vettel over did it in the end. Curiously, after vettel got given the drive through, race control showed the replay (presumably for why he got the penalty) and they showed vettel giving to much at the straight...not at the second to last corner where you would assume he got the penalty for.

Well, well....Vettel surprized the hell out of me with his words. He might not be too far gone from reality after all.

Rules apply to all. He needs to manage his race better. Not the FIA's fault. Not ready for prime time yet. Rookie mistakes, poor starts and squandered opportunities from POLE. Not much else to say. He held up the entire field.

He doesnt seem able to accept responsibility for his actions....ever. Admits he was sleeping in the interview. At least thats close to accepting something to do with his own actions.

Actually, Vettel salvaged it pretty well in the post-race press conference. I think he honestly "went to sleep" (in his words) and lost track of where he was until it was too late. His bad and he acknowledged that. Partial credit...

I like to live in the real world not the one being manufactured by the television advertising revenue. I think most here want to see real racing and not manipulated racing. Now if you think manipulated racing is great, then good for you but its not REAL RACING and thats what I want to see. Its sad to see many like yourself falling for this money money money at all cost even if they make fools out of many.

He didn't get screwed by the safety car, he got screwed over for not maintaining the 10 car length to the car in front of him, and trying to bunch up the cars behind him.

+1!! Like P 23 or worse. He's becoming useless to Mercedes at this point. The luster has worn off. The team will survive without him. Nico is doing so much better. Be nice to see Kubica or someone get a good seat like MS has at Mercedes.

    Wait....what?

With the exception of the first corner, where he was defending, he was by far and away the quickest on the track, until after the pitstops when he was held up by Alonso.

Early in my motorcycle racing career, I got totally ****ed over at the national championships, and I was pissed. I vented in front of a few old timers, and one veteran team manager came over to me, squeezed my shoulder and calmly said: "That's racing". That stuck with me for the remainder of my racing career. It is SO true. Seems like Vettel could use a bit of that advice.

    Great post.

I wasn't the only one watching Vettel crumple up in his chair like a whiny kid was I? wow, he doesn't know how to blow stuff off just yet.

I bet Schu gets a drive-thru on that one. Sure others have done the same thing or worse, but I don't think Schu will get lucky on this one.

I'm not falling for anything. We're not cheering the safety car, and Vettel made his own bed today. It was his choice.

My comment was honestly based on if every post you made in this thread was Vetteling about the Safety Car, then maybe you should find another series sans Safety Car to watch. It wasn't manipulated. Perhaps if they had focused on the entire wing endplate sitting on the racing line for more than the 5 seconds they did, it would have been more evident on why the safety car came out. Unfortunately the pit action occurred, and it took the focus off of why the safety car was out.

And in conclusion, who said F1 was boring. Another great race. :D

After round 1 and 2 I was questioning it, but ever since there has always been some twist or something.
