I think it's great that Ferrari is committed To still build a proper 2+2 v12 family gt that the the family can enjoy. The 458 and 599 are all beautiful looking cars but they only have 2seats so for me the 2+2 is for me....good job ferrari.....looking forward to see new model..

I took a few pics from the small video of the secret mule spotted in Maranello.

When I first saw the video I thought this was an older mule of the California but when you look closely to the pics, you see this is something special. Is this a new prototype of the new 612 or is this the first mule for the new 599 (2012)?

On the front we can see (probably) the same headlights as the F458. The second pic shows the forwarded position for the driver (like a 2+2). But what with the rear? The mules for the California were also huge. It's like a hatchback with a short overhang. What with the spoiler in the middle of the rear window.

When I look at the front and the side of the car, I think it will be a mule of the 612 successor but when I look at the rear of the car I don't know. To me it's a bit short for a 2+2 and very sporty with the short rear. (Or is it like omd78 told us. By the way is this your design or is it an earlier Pinin sketch?) Look at the position of the fake rear lights - low.

I heard from some Ferrari people that the 612 successor will be something new and spectacular for Ferrari in this class. I hope it will be a beautifull sporty 2+2 for real tifosi and not a car wich sells because of a Ferraribadge (like a Panamera for Porsche).

Jason- Welcome. Pretty design, but does not look like a full 4 seater with the 2950 mm wheelbase likely on the 612 replacement. And a 2+2 will definitely not have the GTO suffix.

    I agree 1000%

I'm not sure if the breadvan idea is any good. Not sure, we'll have to wait to see it revealed, or in person.

Some of the Aston Martin shooting brakes (2 door station wagons) were quite attractive. We just have to wait and see.

My dealer confirmed the Hybrid for the 612 replacement as well as a future option for the 458. They most likely will show a 458 Prototype at the 612 dealer presentation in February.
