    The California certainly seems like a well concieved and executed car, but can a modern car have TOO MUCH techno installed? To meet industry standards, certain features and amenities are a must, but can a modern car overwhelm the owner with tech capabilities?

    Cali, no. 458 with all those buttons on the steering wheel? I think so. I'd never know which was is up driving that car.

    Too much technology can be a problem, but poorly implemented technology is of much more concern... I was watching the latest top gear in which they drove the 458... They absolutely loved the car's performance but were a bit miffed by all of the buttons on the steering wheel... For instance, the turn signals and wiper controls are on the wheel... According to top gear, one never knows where the various controls are on the wheel as it changes based on the position of the wheel. That is an example of bad technology implementation, not too much technology...

    i agree that the buttons on the wheel of the 458 are ridiculous. e.g. why mess with the traditional turn signal? works great already!

    the cali's technology is aimed at a producing the perfect gt--no overkill!

    EE- What, you want less technology than you find in a $25K Toyota, Honda, Ford or Chevy? This stuff is not that hard to do anymore. Difficult part is building a Ferrari engine and chassis, and they seem to have that part down pretty well.

    Top Gear is a fun show but they always have to find things like this to complain about.... How often (never) do you signal having the steering wheel turned 180 degrees?
