oky, Im sure its easy but I've never done it before so excuse me. I want to remove the front boot liner. I read there are ust some screws holding this in and that the rubber seal or gasket needs to be removed. how do I remove that. do I have to take caution when removing it. how does it go back into place??? thx, Marc
I removed mine before my major service (to find A/C valves to remove the R12), and it's easy. Just pull up on the gasket, and it slips off. Some of the paint will probably chip off around the metal lip, but that can't be helped. You can touch it up later if you want, although it's covered when you reinstall the gasket. Also a couple black metal braces that go around inside the bottom of the liner. Just work slowly and carefully, and if the liner seems stuck anywhere, keep looking for and removing all screws to make sure they're all off. Don't force the liner off. My liner is made of what seems like heavy, thin chipboard, and they are somewhat fragile, so be careful with it, and store it in a safe place where it won't get damaged until you reinstall it. It's an easy job
