I really don't think it matters where you live to experience some jerks disdain for your success or apparent success. You can get your car keyed or vandalized anywhere. When I make reservations to eat out my wife makes one for the car. When I go out somewhere I make sure I can see the car. Is it a PITA, sure but it holds to for flashy jewelry or any perceive opulence. They see you as the boss they hate, the guy who cut them off, the loud mouth at the bar, the one that cuts in line because he can, and many other negative images. I also believe there are a large number of people who really like the cars and want to look at them and talk to the people who owned them. Treat people right, hope for the best, and watch where you park.

I gotta go read the comments......LOL!

I haven't been driving any of mine much lately.

I got out the Trans Am!!!

This whole thing brings to mind the story Robert Earl Keen tells about living with Lyle Lovett in College Station, and watching the Church people come out of services and look at them on the front porch awash in a litter of beer cans, playing guitars in their underwear.....

Sunday morning can just put SOME things into a bad light, conspicuous consumption is one of them.

Theres the law and then there is common sense. I think a dose of common sense should be used in this case.

If the group decided to have the gathering at the entrance of an ER i could see there then being a problem, but a shopping center on a sunday morning? Simply move the cars, apologize to those who needed the spaces, and move on with life. No reason for a stupid news story, and all the internet tough guys, and as they always do, simply look stupid.

KHOU Channel 11??? No one watches that channel. Heck - they refused to air our local commercials for Houston Catholic Schools and their benefits. I don't even think they air any shows worth watching.

what, no posts yet that the person in the video complaining and the one that called the news station might actually be a former Ferrari owner? One that had his Ferraris confiscated after some conviction? just a rumor I've heard so far. sure the news station will be all over that.

I did an extensive search of this person on the internet and couldn't find anything. I'm not going to pay $20 to a service for more info which may not be there. If he had convictions, then it should be available on the internet I think. If someone has a good link with info on this rumor (at this point) please let me know. While I searched I noticed this entire story has been viral and 95% paints Ferrari Owners and FCA in bad light.

Boy you're not kidding; it is spreading by the hour.

So now it is decision time. Ignore it and you lose. Fight it, or blame someone else, and you lose bigger. If the club wants to calm the situation down the thing to do now take the high road and be proactive. Publicly apologize, then make a huge splash with a press conference that announces an annual charity event that benefits handicapped people. The press will show and cover it when the press kit has a coupon for free rides in all the Ferraris present.

There isn't a designated Legal Liason for the FCA???
I had John O'Quinn's card, from Cars and Coffee......:D :D

Maybe hire a PR firm and generate some Happy Talk????

They already DO some Make A Wish stuff, but you are going to have to grease the skids to get a retraction or damage control going with Channel 11...

Use Franco's parking lot, next time.....this place was a "joint in the sticks" despite the tie in of the restaurant name. They'd left the safe haven behind, when they ventured out to the boondocks....

Oh jeeze! That didn't take long. I just had a vendor in the winery. I swear the very first thing they said was, "Were you part of the fiasco up on 249 this weekend?"

I just meant they had outrun their normal police coverage that some of the runs enjoy.....I'm sure it's a very nice restaurant.
