LOL True, but: I got an iPhone now. That helps me keep track on things like that. I'm not taking the bet re: Rosberg simply because Brawn/Haug can control that and if their golden boy needs a boost in the standings, they can sink their #2 driver. However I would take the bet that he will not end up in the top 5. Not totally sure about that (I'm totally sure that he will not win the WDC though), but that's what makes a bet interesting. I don't think even in equal equipment he could beat Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton, but he might be able to beat Webber or Button. That said, Axecent was faster in acknowledging, so if you want to bet with him, that's only fair. If not, I'm there with a case of beer. Stella Artois if I win.
Your on. FTR: I am betting that MS will not finish top 5 in final championship points 2011. God, I almost feel like I am stealing your money.....but since it is only a case of Bud....it isn't like your oldest kids college funds.
I can see a bit of a flaw in that. Button has beaten Hamilton in equal equipment and Webber has (well and truly) beaten Vettel in equal equipment, so, either MS would beat them all in equal equipment, or he'd beat none lol..your choice.
Get three cars per teram agreed, and delete the crappy Virgin, Hispania and Lotus teams, then put Schumi in a fast Ferrari. The opposition will **** themselves!! He is currently in a crap car, carrying over many settings from last years muppet (Butt-on), he needs either full support, or come home to Ferrari. Rubens is cry baby, he knew what would happen but still went to the skinny side becuase if it went wrong he knew he could cry and whine that naughty Scumi put him off - he is such a girl
Ridiculous. Let him try beating his team mate before you start calling drivers muppets. Tell you what why not have a USA GP like in 05 where 7 of the 10 teams did not race, and the only thing worth watching of any note was when Rubens looked set to edge ahead of Schumacher and he refused to give way, forcing his team-mate onto the grass. ring any bells!! **** themselves yeh sure... dream on.
I figured somebody would bite and you can argue your point IMHO Hami is faster than Button and Vettel beats Webber BUT both are inconsistent on occasion At any rate they all beat MS now
IMVHO the gaps are closing. Except w/Mike whom we won't know about until he's in a car better suited to his style.
I'm starting to tire of the excuses. I haven't really heard MS make any. Since day one he's said he has to catch his team mate first...has anyone ever actually heard him say the car doesn't suit him? i don't remember. I'm not sure if it's MS making the excuses or everyone else.
Tis a good point. I agree that as more time goes by the explanations are now beginning to wear a little thin. I suppose next year will be the real telling time.
To MS' credit I don't think I have heard him making any excuses. It is mostly Haug who is constantly defending MS and putting all the blame on the car. I believe that is his way of justifying MS' seat towards the board of directors, unions and share holders (although allegedly they got MS for a bargain rate).
Good. Wasn't it a mere week ago when everyone was clamoring that teammates need to be racing and not giving way?
I think we have a lot of different definitions around here for 'racing'. My grandfather raced cars (modifieds, midgets), he used to talk about what a dirty ****ing driver Bill Vucovich was. He told me about getting rammed from behind by the mad Russian and run right off the track. Vucovich let most other competitors know that if they got in his way, he would run over them, but my grandfather also told me the guy was totally fearless, and the most skilled man on a racing track that had ever lived. Competitors learned to get out of his way....... The definition of racing is always changing with the definition of courage, and the attributes that fuel the imaginations of fans and racers alike. And for Bill Vucovich, with 2 Indy wins, his third attempt was his last. RIP to one of the greatest, but meanest, SOB's that ever raced an automobile.
Aww, does the fchatter not like anyone who hopes to see Schumi in a fast car sometime soon then......... aww bless, seems its not just the so-called drivers who are shi**ing themselves
Nope, my suggestion though, was that the FIA should go ahead and allow the best teams 3 cars, can the crap teams and send em back to where they came from as they just get in the way, and the Schum will hopefully get into Ferrari number 3. That would terrify Hambone and the rest of the nobodies
can you imagine the fun he and Fernando would have crushing the opposition (into walls, cars, pits etc), and Ferrari would be so awesome the rest would quake in their boots
