I have 3 issues with mine. The led on the homelink does not light, the side rear panel vibrates and is loose. Lastly I have noticed paint in the inside of the trunk lid, looks like it had been re-painted. So I would say quite frankly that the quality is better on Chevy's I've owned than on the Ferrari.

Yep I've got mirror drift, had EPB fail but it fixed itself, starter problem that is fine now ... all else is well ... but you all know a bit about me ... I am super satisfied with my California ... Hell I get to drive a Ferrari every day ... every darned day ... how can it get any better than that??? Getting closer to 12,000 miles now after last weekend. It would be nice if the car were perfect and my I was 35 and my wife was 19 ... but I will gladly take what I have:D It has been said before, hand built does NOT mean good quality, it only means that the cars are pretty exclusive, not available to the masses, and that is just fine with me. I do need to add that my dealer has been great at responding to problems. Since this second mirror drifts I will give up on that problem, no big deal.

Park it at a mall, kick it off with your foot. Report it to the insurance company.

(just kidding... don't do that. Its insurance fraud)

Just picked up my Cali from service and they perfomed the Magnaride software update which I had read about here, but they also performed an update on the folding roof flaps. This is the first I have heard of that service.

Anyone know what the deal is regarding the roof flaps?

FWIW, there remains a waiting list for the Cali (thru December) here in Philly and the the wait is one year for the 458.

The capote top flap is just a re-positioning of a cable or two to insure they do not get caught on any of the hardware while operating the top. FNA did a pretty good job of addressing this at port, but some got through and the dealers do the modification.

Hi everybody. As I had said in some of my previous posts, I was pretty surprised at the number of flaws that I found on my car, in particular regarding the paint job. As Rick said, maybe hand built does not mean better quality. I definitely find the quality on Japanese cars I have bought in the past to be much better quality. The quality aspect of Ferrari surprised me because they always promote the car as being meticulously hand finished (did anybody else see the National Geographic special on the 599 production process?) In fact, I just went to a showing of the new 458 at my dealership, and I could see light scratches all over the paint of this newly delivered car. Pretty disappointing when so much money was spent on every Ferrari.

Yes, I did see that, and another on the Cali, and am also dumbfounded at how there can be so many paint issues when those specials clearly showed the men going over each car inch by inch fixing blemishes after the robots had sprayed the paint. My service mgr told me much of this damage happens in shipping and he is a PITA (his words) so that's why my car looks perfect. I like a PITA service manager!

It's the little buttons which remotely open your garage door.

Yes, Jennifer. The reality is that the part where National Geographic films the guy going over the paint inch by inch is probably true - but they only inspected THAT car so painstakingly. The rest of them they probably gloss over when the cameras aren't rolling!

I just went to a 458 launch where they showed off 2 newly delivered cars. I could see swirl marks all over the car! Ridiculous for a car that is brand new.

I have those on my GMs. Where are they on the Cali? I just use the remote in it.

Homelink was not on the option list when I ordered mine early last August or I would have it too.

My right side mirror seems to be moving now. As long as they don't go so far that you can't set the mirrors to the right position I guess we will all be stuck with the problem. I have not bothered my dealer with it since they replaced the first one.
