SCCA "Imroved Touring" B division. Basically a stock class for older cars, about all you can change is go .040 over on the bore and change suspension components. I did win my class Championship at the local track last year and I am in heated battle for the championship this year. It's low budget and fun.

Then your MUCH closer to stock than the rabbit/golf guys!!! Mostof them have a flat top piston slightly protruding out of the block (11.5 -12:1 compression) a G grind euro cam and other goodies. I like your 924 better.... MUCH better aero than those bricks! Especially at Daytona and long course at Sebring , not to mention it's sharp looking car!!

What in the world is going on in the top of the stands of the bottom picture?

It looks like some guy donned a cow head mask and is jumping in the air.

I was thinking of getting a 928, 924, 944, 951, 914, or 911 SC and turniing it into a perfect track car. Out of these, Which one is the best deal?

Are those center locks for real!? I really didn't know I was going to say this about a Radical but it looks sexy! More info about the engine type, power output and dry weight? Could you make it street legal in US, like you can in most European countries? Gettig excited just looking at it!!

Btw., black is indeed the right way to go for fierce machines ;)

This is the 1984 winner of the Daytona 24Hr race (First OA)..The well known "KREEPY KRAULY" sponsored car of the mid "80s. It's done up today in the original Al Holbert Livery of 1984 where Al won his first ever IMSA GTP championship that year in this car. That's me at Pocono, in the car during an event in 2006. WHAT A CAR!!!!!!! The car is a 1983 March/ Porsche, model 83G. 2200# wt. with a single turbo 650/850 Hp range motor.

Centerlocks are definitely real. It's a real race car in a smaller package - almost a miniature LMP car. Engine size ranges from 1500cc Hayabusa (250hp0 up to 500hp V8s. Their website RadicalSportsCars shows all the models. In some states it could be made legal like a kit car.

loflyer, loving the Al Holbert car. As a kid I would go to Road Atlanta to watch Al turn a mean wheel in the 956 & 962 the Lowenbraugh cars. Man, I miss the real imsa and camel gt days. I can remember those guys actually rub'n, beat'n, and bang'n rather than giving up the "line".

I guess for my generation that was when men were men and the occasional racer privateer was long on equipment, packed some talent, and bank rolled by drug money. Oh those were the days.

Enjoy your beauty in good health!
