    Dear Ferraristi,

OK, I need a favor. I need to go back to the "Monolec" gear oil that was put in my 91 Testarossa by Shelton on a previous service.

Only Shelton sells it and they can't ship it as it only comes in a drum. I can purchase the 10 quarts I need but is anyone coming up from Shelton to central Florida? I live in Lakeland and don't really want to drive all the way to Ft. Lauderdale just to buy some gear oil.

I've tried Redline, Royal Purple....none are as good as the Monolec I had in the transaxle.

I would really appreciate anyone's help.

Stephanie, I didn't know you were going down there till yesterday or I would have asked for your help. :)

    Hi Shamile,

I may be heading down to Ft. Laud, to pick up a door for my Jaguar over the next couple of weeks. A SUV backed into it while parked at a friend's house. I'll be happy to help you if you have a few days to wait.

Too bad this wasn't asked last week. Stephenie was at the FMFL dealership yesterday and could have easily brought the stuff up to you.

I might be able to help. I am heading south next week and can pick up the oil while I am down there. Then I have to head to Tampa the following week (right past Lakeland). The problem with be the turnaround as it will be about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks before I make it your way. If I pick it up you are of course more then welcome to pick it up (if you don't want to wait). I am in Oviedo which is probably a hour or so from Lakeland. Not the best option, but if I can help I would be more then happy to.

This is the website/dealer locator for the place that makes it.

I put in a zip for Daytona and it told me of a dealer in Deland,so maybe they might have it or know of a closer place.

I may be heading back up to Georgia to close on my new cabin at the end of next week. If you need me to, I could probably pick up the oil and bring it with me on the way up.....as long as you're willing to meet me right off of the turnpike on my way up. Send me an email.
