Can someone give a recommendation for Eurospares?
Are they Ferrari Factory Authorized Spare Parts reseller?
Will they give a backup to the parts they sell?
There are so many shonks about these days, I don't want to be caught.

Have you read any of the other threads about them - perhaps that would be a good place to start

I cannot find mention of any 'Ferrari Factory Authorized Spare Parts reseller' on the Ferrari website - do you mean are the parts they sell genuine Ferrari ?

    I've used Eurospares.
I've bought various parts from them, all went OK but prices are often different (higher) than the website parts list claims.
For example a light assembly was listed at £60 but the price ended up at £200 as they could only supply the "whole assembly" but it was still just the lens that arrived! But I checked with Maranello and their price was the same.
Also if you order (say) 6 fasteners and they only have three, they will send you the three and not advise you before sending. Some may say that is great, but not if you need all of them or it's no use to you.
I ordered two bolts, dear enough at £22 including postage....but they only sent one, but still charged the same postage, so it cost me £14 for one bolt.

However they refunded without question, as one was no use to me, so it ended OK.
But the next time I rang them for a small part they told me to "go to Maranello" for it, so maybe they are not so happy with me now for returning an item?
They are good for used parts, but watch the prices on the website as they don't include VAT or postage. Normal practice I know, but a part advertised at £280 ended up at £340.

You can get new Ferrari spares from Maranello UK. If thay can find the part you are wanting that is! The last part I wanted, they had two listed, but couldn't find them in their stores, as they bought up all the "Classic Spares" from Ferrari but they are not catalogued.

The Factory kind of "sent over" all the stuff to Ferrari UK, I got the impression it never WAS inventoried, but just truckloads of interesting bits.....

I got a 1977 sun visor and was glad to have it...

Maranello's know what they have but after a couple of factory moves, cannot always lay their hands on it. After the most recent stocktake, they found a load more parts!

That's good to know, there was a pile of 308 interior bits, seats and the like, that would be great to have, the sun visor (still shrink wrapped to the Factory card) was perfect!

I bought a set of wheels from them that didnt fit the car they were made for.

A well known Ferrari and Lambo specialist spent a few hours (at my cost) trying to work out what the problem was. When confronted they said "yeah we know, its a manufacturing error"

I've used Eurospares quite a few times, usually I ask fr James, and I've never had a problem with them; I even got a brand new s/s Ferrari 400GT exhaust for a fraction of the cost elsewhere!

    Regards, Ray.

I have used them many, many times in the last 10 years and find them to be great. If there was ever a problem with the incorrect part etc, I was always refunded with no arguements. They are about 10% cheaper than Ferrari UK, still expensive, but I guess thats Ferrari ownership for you! One thing for sure, these guys will not run off with your money (I think they have enough of their own). They have been around for many years, and that must say something?

I have had a nightmare with them [ sorry Ant].
I Will only use them if very stuck.

If its not for a classic, try your local Ferrari dealer, they will give you a discount if pushed.
I use Stratstone in Manchester for modern parts even though i live in Cambridge as they give me the best deal and are very helpfull.

Very good web site Eurospares have for looking at parts though.

Used them several times for parts that have been much needed. They have a great website. I have found the service given to be sketchy and the cost of P&P to be plucked out the air.

Its a case of supply and demand!

One of the sales guys was pretty rude once to me. He had an attitude like stop wasting my time after I was on the phone for 30 seconds.

Other times I rang they have been fine but parts are often out of stock or " I will have it at the end of the week".

My experience is from at least 2 years ago now (I hope its changed since then but I'm not holding my breath). I would never use them ever again, I'd rather sell my car than buy a part from them. I think they have a lot to learn about customer experience. They where seriously arrogant and unprofessional in attitude and my experiences where just plain horrible.

They where also significantly more expensive than some other re-sellers of Ferrari genuine parts, especially since the euro price gained against the pound a couple of years ago (making them more expensive than the main dealers for a lot of parts which seemed like a laughing joke at the time.. but many people never price checked, even against the main dealer, they just assumed they would be cheaper...).

First time I ordered from them they charged me silly postage for 4 little center wheel badges (I'm sure they must have had some deal where they made profit off the postage because they should have just popped them in an envelope for less than a pound but no they sent them by expensive next day courier without even asking). Not good, didn't tell me about the fact the price was so ridiculous for the postage it made the total price a downright joke. Would have been far cheaper to drive to the main dealer....

I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but the second time I tried I bought a rear engine lid and they charged me more postage than it would have cost for me to hire a van and travel to their premesis to collect it! From memory, I recall, it cost more to ship it around the uk, (just a couple of hundred miles) than it would have cost me to ship it abroad. Ridiculous.

The final attempt to use them turned into an absolute DISASTER which I don't even want to talk about on a public forum after it turned into a real horrible situation where their boss got involved and attempted to silence everyone discussing the issue after threats of law action cases.

A horrible experience indeed and all I was trying to do was be a customer. After trying 3 times I gave up... Stupid really as I've spent TEN's of thousands on parts since then..
