I am considering getting back into the 'hood with a 355 spider. As I am a member at a local track so it will be used for occasional track duty, can someone comment on its "trackability" in comparison to the berlinetta?

If you're in the US, most places will not let you track a convertible without a roll bar in the raised position, which unfortunately, the F355 does not have...

How does the F355 spider get away without a roll bar?

I guess the rules were much lighter in the 90's

All of the groups I know restrict un-caged convertibles to the slow run groups. That is you need a roll cage (not just a set of bars) to go faster than.....

Secondly, the chassis of the Berlinetta is significantly stifer than the GTS or spider....

355 is a girl's car? I have been out of the 'hood for too long, didn't know they had been relegated to girl status! It's ok, I am in touch with my feminine side and getting tired of the truck-like feel of the Testarossa so 355 might be a good fit ;)

Correct, though being member/instructor I can show up and drive - no restriction since it's is not within the context of an HPDE. I have a family and race car with cage etc, so this wouldn't be for serious track work.
