I'm trying to get my car back on the road I just figured out that one thing I didn't change when going through my fuel system was the in tank filter at the outlet. I took things apart last night but I can't get it to even budge. I certainly don't want to try too hard and end up damaging the tank. Anyone have any tips for getting it to break loose. And please don't tell me to heat it with a torch (although the thought did VERY briefly cross my mind).

    Thanks,
    John

An air gun with a deep socket usually does the trick....

I might try that tonight. I didn't want to be too rough with it but it actually looks like they did a decent job of beefing up the tank there. I put a little penetrant oil on it but not sure how well it soaked in.

    Thanks,
    John

When you get the thing out, please post a photo of it. I'm curious to see what the inside of the fuel outlet looks like.

I'll do that. I'm also curious if the whole thing needs to be replaced or if there is a filter element that can be replaced. One way or another I should have it apart tonight.
