    Dear enthusiasts,

I just started negotiating on a 2002 Ferrari Modena 360 F1 Rear Challenge- 12K miles
and here's some of the first few questions I've had answered:

1.We do not posses all service records but have done the 15K recommended service.

    2. We are also having the belt replaced.

    3. We will find out for you how much % is left on the clutch.

    4. We only possess the Red Master key and we have the 4 digit ignition and radio security codes.

    5. Having an independent PPI done is not a problem.

Here are my questions and concerns:

    a. Why is the belt being replaced at 12K miles?
    b. How much of a discount can I get because of #1 & #3. ps: there's documentation of the 5K service.

I'll keep asking the basic questions before I fly out there to get the PPI done (and obviously if all goes well, drive it home).

Please advise and thanks in advance.

They are replacing the belts so that you have a fresh starting point with them. Basically they will be done and that you know they have been done will give you a warm and fuzzy as well as a fresh belt service date.

If the car was dealer serviced they should be able to look up the records.

Otherwise if the car passes your independent PPI I wouldnt be overly concerned about the complete records.

Clutch would prob run 3-4k ish. But it may not need replaced at this time.

Good luck and keep us posted.
