Hey all, Have a cracked reservoir on my '82 GTSi. It's made by Benditalia but I can't seem to locate a new one. Does anyone know if an Ate replacement will fit? T Rutlands does have a new Benditalia one but they want $300 for it, which, I'm sorry, is ridiculous. I can buy brand new Ate reservoirs for $50 from a local European parts distributor that I deal with for MB parts. I'm going to measure the distance between the two 'teets' and see if we can't make an Ate part work, unless someone knows of a good used item or a new one that's not stratospherically priced... Thanks in advance. Cheers, Aaron
I have repaired other makes of resevoirs with a soldering gun. Just work the molten plastic like you would a nice brazing job. Just a thought. lost
Simple supply and demand issue here... I've got a new one on the shelf; pretty sure it will fit a 308. Not $300, but not ATE prices either...If you post a picture of yours, with the distance between the nipples, I can very fitment. Best, David
David, I measured the distance from the center of each nipple. It's 3.5". Reservoir is rectangular with the black filler cap in the center and one white "cap" at either side of the black one. Has bullet connectors for the fluid warning level floats. How much $$? Cheers, Aaron
