Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 1990 348 TS SN# ZFFFG36A4L0087284 She runs strong but needs a major so it's going in for service in the next couple of weeks ~ Mario Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks fantastic! What is it with all you Ottawa guys buying up the 348s? You'll have to get together with the other lads in the national capital region and start The Brotherhood, Great White North Chapter.
Mario, congrats on the wonderful acquisition. If you are able to post pics and updates with narratives of your upcoming major, please do so. Cheers
Thanks everyone, Sorry for the late reply, I can’t keep myself from getting out of this car. In the last 3 weeks I almost put a 1000 miles on it. I haven’t met up with any other 348 owners here in Ottawa but I guess I will soon once I go to one of the Ottawa Club meets. Captglen….who is Bruce??? Night Life – I know….a few years, but I kept looking at the crap ones remember. One wouldn’t start; another started blowing white smoke from the exhaust so much that I couldn’t see the cars around me when I went for a test drive. Another had wrong mileage with the documentation. Another guy would not even let me sit in it, let alone drive it….yeah, whatever, you can keep the car. AceMaster – They will be providing a DVD of pictures so when it gets done, I can post some pictures. I absolutely love this car in every way...... But she is giving me problems on startup from cold so I’m trying to find out what it is. Last night I removed both MAF’s and cleaned them and re-adjusted the resistance to 383ohms because they were off. 1-4 was 391 and 5-8 was 389. I have an after market exhausrt and cats. When she is cold she shakes like a WWII tank and stalls about 3-4 times in less than 2 mins. Then revs up to 1500-2000K then down to 500 then back up and down. After about 5 minutes she stables out at 1100 then down to 1000 RPM. After that, smooth, no issues whatsoever like nothing ever happened. Well until the next day I start her. But when warm, no issues, no problems or sputtering she is perfect. So I was thinking the Additional air valve, I’m assuming this is the same as an Idle Control Valve but I don’t know where it’s located. (Even with her Italian temperament I still love her). ~ Mario
