Either there wasn't many cars there or they sure gave you lots of space in between cars. :)

Pardon my ignorance, but from a spectator point of view, what is the difference between club day and the day of the concours? More cars on one day than the other?, more emphasis on quality than quantity on the day of the concours?, if one had to chose one day to attend, which would that be? Thanks in advance!

Both days are very different. Club day (Saturday) is just what it sounds like - cars are more or less grouped by marque and are mostly "amateur" showers. Cars may be concours-level but not necessarily. On Sunday, cars are grouped by class, with a lot more variety. Generally, the heavy hitters come out on Sunday. I helped show a couple of cars in 2007, and there was a '39 Alfa that had just come from Pebble, a Lusso, a BMW 507, Ferrari 166, a few Stutz, Auburns, Packards, etc. Just depends what you want to see.

Thank DMC, this is the answer I was looking for. I live in Chi so it wouldnt be a problem to drive both days, but if anything came up, I'd like to know when the best day would be and it sounds like Sunday is the winner. BTW, on some pics i saw a Blue w/Yellow Stripe 1962 Ferrari GTO. Do you (or anyone else) know if it was a replica? Or is this show sanctioned to exclude replicas? Thanks!

There should be some spectacular cars there (again) this year, with Dusenberg and Alfa as featured marques. Looking forward to it.

Anymore news on what Alfa's and Ferrari's are coming. I already have the pfd file from the website. I know some cars I have heard are coming are not listed in that file.

    Hi Tom,
Yes, there is big news regarding some of the Alfas that will be there....

Picture a Royal Flush of 6c2500ss coupes, one by each carrozerrie, two coming from Italy via Pebble. The cars coming from Pebble are making their world premiere at Pebble and one of them might walk away with Best Of Show in Carmel.(just my prediction, we'll see)

Two full classes of Alfas, Pre-War and Post-War.

And to top it all off, the Bertone BAT 11 concept car.

And that doesn't count the competition cars or the 100 or so expected on Club Day.

Of course, there will be a specatacular class of Ferraris as well, but those are not mine to leak out!

Pre-register is required for Club Day. $15 gets you and guest and car in to both days with a continental breakfast. Best value around.
Registration is limited! Do NOT put if off. Pre-registration closes Aug. 6.

Thanks.. I was just posting an update on the Chicago thread. Great to hear some nice cars will be on display. Anyone within 2000 miles should try to make this one if they love Italian vintage cars. I have to register still for the club day. I hope I can make it Saturday. I know I can make it on Sunday.

Tommorrow morning is Club Day. Bring your Ferrari, and check out the cars. Just got off the phone with the event administrators: Over 240 cars are pre-registered for the Saturday event! Veterans Park, Milwaukee Lakefront. Be there early.

Sunday is the BIG event in the same location, the Masterpiece Concours, featuring cars from around the world. A couple of class winners from Pebble Beach will be there, also from Villa D'Este and others. Not to be missed.

There were actually about 30 more cars than last year. Fewer Ferraris, though.
