now that I think about it that did too as I was just going to "look around". That message about all your friend's information would be shared with the application.
Not if it was like last year: if you bought a guy for $7, and his value rose to, say $24, if you sold him you got $7, but if you sell him and want to buy him back, it would cost you $24. There is a reason for this..
I'm on the iPhone from Hawaii. I had my sister on the phone drafting for me. She botched a couple picks by not clicking on the right player, but I'm happy for the most part! Good luck this season.. I'm putting my season in the hands of the Tom Brady/Randy Moss connection!
i could see the chat, but couldn't type anything myself, and i got kicked out right after i made my last 2 live picks (i think it was the 11th or 12th round)
I had major problems, well not as bad as ronr (Big Hammer). Poor guy was sitting next to me trying his first Fantasy Football Draft and couldn't get the bar's WiFi or Sprint air card to work reliably. My Verizon 3g tether worked OK, only disconnected once in later round. My only problem was with the Yahoo software or my mouse, at least 3 times it selected players I didn't want. Don't know why except accidental double click or the player highlight changed before I could mouse over to the Draft button. Not a great start for me, I deserve most of it because I didn't analyze ahead like I usually do! My theory this year of Yahoo ranking can do a better job than me didn't hold true. Sidney Rice!
Sounds like the issues I have sometimes: at work I cannot get FoxSports.Com to work at all with IE, but at home it is fine. My biggest problem is that for whatever reason, some of the players I wanted to pick somebody else already had (LOL). My first pick was hoping to be Frank Gore - I like him better than CJ and AD, but when those guys were all gone, I had little choice. Then it just kinda snowballed, and I took all kinds of odd chances. As I said on Live Chat, to me anyway, once you get past the first 5 RB's, and the first 7-8 WR's, the next 15-20 are about the same, so you must look at schedules before you look at last year's stats, they mean little. I will entertain offers for Dallas Clark OR JerMichael Finley, or Ben Rothliesberger. I will be looking for a better WR, or a little bit better RB, but I am rather happy with the team I have, I'm in no hurry to dump anyone.. And I am still bitter that clown writer did a big story on Jabar Gaffney yesterday - I have been able to steal him on every team I have - until this one. Whisky/Royal Crownes
I could see the chatting but couldnt chat myself. The live draft worked perfectly for me. i was at the casa on wifi and didnt have a single problem. Let the games begin!
my team's looking pretty good this year, 100 points so far on an off night for romo, i'm smelling victory this year,
Gonna be one of those years for me in FF. I got matched up with the top point getter in 2 of 3 leagues. Needless to say I was crushed. But hey, it's early ...
I think my TEAM managed a field goal for points, I think I was crushed also. It's weird - my teams are either doing the crushing or getting crushed. I'm in about 20 leagues.
Now you're the crusher & I'm the crushee :-( But hey, it's early.... I see Testarob on the Yahoo stat tracker, but the "chat" window seems passive. Cheers, Ian
all together now: all FF players unite and say: 'Damn, I was gonna draft/start/grab (that guy)!!!!' Man, I hate it when your gut says one thing, but the matchup or stats tell you to go the other way. Gut seems to win most of the time.
I was going to give 5 teams a reaming for not replacing Bye players, but to turn out everyone updated last minute except Come And Take It.
You noticed that too? On a side note, sometimes there is a situation where a lot of your players share the same BYE week, and you cannot swap them, and you don't want to drop one and pick up another. I had that on one of my teams last week, I went without a starting #2 RB and still won my match. Anyway, we all have the ability to look at each matchup and vote who we think will win, apparently nobody is doing that, either. That's OK.
It's hard to even make a guess on the matchups to do a vote. The actuals are normally so different than predictions. I'm usually happy just to beat the prediction, but the randomness can swing wide either way. But I guess the randomness is pretty standard for team sports anyway...
I don't really care about the 'predicted' points per position when looking at the matchups because it appears to me they are based on 2009 statistics. Larry Fitzgerald is not going to get 15.50 points too often this year. Michael Vick (when healthy and starting) is not going to get 1.45 points a game this year. I just pick 'em in the matchups for the heck of it.
