i really think I understand the hesitation on an awesome car. So many first time buyers on the sidelines afraid of looking stupid or PAYING TOO MUCh for a perceived value in this market. Happens all the time. Trying to navigate the Ferrari market is not much different then those who tried to time the stock market .. Never works and people end up with a car that was bought for the wrong reason . price is not value. Buying a car that is 5 or 10000 cheaper does not make a better deal if the reason in the first place was coming from a genuine feeling. Interestng observation though.. Enjoy

Such a beautiful ride, wish you the best luck.

Have you listed the car on autotrader or cars.com? You will reach way more potential buyers if you have it listed there.

I cannot believe that it hasn't sold at this price point. I think you are correct: lots of trigger shy people and perhaps cash is not as readily available as it has been.

Is it going to the dealer in trade for something else?

    Best of luck,
    Jes

Not to dampen the thoughts on this but $89K firm IMHO is only an "ok" price as there are several 02s and some 03s for around the same miles and roughly the same price, give or take a few K. The recent service is nice however.

Also, it is almost September, the driving season will be ending shortly for many parts of the country, and many people realize that the best time to buy a spider is mid winter to early spring. If the economy continues to limp along prices might drop further in that window. Also, a 9 year old ferrari is likely best suited for a first time buyer and many first time 360 buyers want red/tan and the F1 shifter.

I definitely agree with the "red/tan" part...but definitely disagree with "wanting the F1 shifter..." part. If this car was a red/tan 6-speed...it would be sold by now.

a little silly sort of like saying A 40 year old women would be best suited for a first time marriage and many first time marriage men want 30 something with big t*its. but then again In not married so what do I Know.

Real question is, does 15k mi. extra on a car 1 yr older, equal a $11k price difference on the car?

Why would you say it is going to the dealers...those guys are not going to offer you a dime over $75k and I think some will tell you $70K.... the dealers are marking up cars 25%-50%...MB Pampano sold a black on black 2002 with 24k mi. spider with new F430 wheels and tires for $80K....

Put it on the Bay starting at $75K with no reserve and see what happens after 10days...
