I am not a lawyer but I would love to be on one of your juries :)

I think the burden of proof is much much lower in this case (vs OJ) and when you throw in Napoleon it should not take too long. :D

Bauer did a great job for Ron Dennis on the barge boards a few years back that got Ferrari into trouble

How come those MAJOR cheats who were CAUGHT red-handed with Ferrari's information a couple of years ago are still in the championship ??!!

Here we have Ferrari defending the fact one of THEIR cars overtook another of THEIR cars in a race and everyone knows about it because BIG MOUTH Smedley told everyone, yet where was the outrage when the pommy teams ganged up on Ferrari in '97 when JV was given clear passage (radio transmission refered to him as "friendly" when coming up to another garagisti ) ?

Or how about when DC let MH go by in the Australian GP years ago ?

This whole team orders thing is a crock all started by Rubinho in Austria and now underlined by another whinging Brazilian. (I like both guys BTW)

stop getting so far behind in the points and then you won't have to pull over when you finally have a good race, it all comes down to simple maths, FA has a mathematically better chance so he will be given the better opportunity to win when the time arrives to make that decision.

Or here's a novel idea, Ferrari can only run the one car for the rest of the season thereby negating team orders... waddya say Felipe ?? :p

You're never going to get even and settle the score. All you can do is strive for as much fairness as is humanly possible from this point on.

Why can't Ferrari do that? Are their pilots not up to it? Does management not trust them?

Which would you prefer to see as a paying customer? The show Ferrari served up at the German GP or McLaren's version?

    Hand on heart please :D

If humanity worked that way in all aspects of life, Earth would be a far more pleasant place to live.

    All the best,

That's the problem. The burden of proof is so low that the verdicts have no credibility.
I have no idea why you're so willing to put your faith in the rulings of such a kangaroo (no offense Moretti) court.

As a scientist you must realize the value of not accepting the common wisdom and the status quo.
Reach vs, grasp and all that.

Ok, I hear you loud and clear.

I have an idea. Why don't you start a new thread and tell us what really happened at the German GP? Please start with Alonso saying it was ridiculous that he could not pass Massa and go through all of the Ferrari radio transmissions between Smeadly and Massa and match those up with what happened on the track. Then you can go on to the press conference the statements made there.

Please put on Ferrari's defense and tell us how it was something other than what 99% of the people watching thought it was.

I promise to have an open mind while I sit on your jury and hang on your every word :D

    So you're giving up? ;)
My point is not to guilty or innocent but to fairness of process and legitimacy of rules. Have you really missed that distinction all this time?

Of course they made it obvious.
Not that it was their intent,
    Or was it?

This rule is very fair and simple.

In a nutshell, everyone loves a good magician and hates a bad one :D

Put a good show and everyone is happy.

Fall off of the stage and show the audience how your trick works and suffer the consequences.

F1 is part sport, part show and all drama.

Scuderia Ferrari used to be so good at all of this, it is more than a bit sad to see how far they have fallen. :(

Do you guys think they can turn it around or are they on the downhill run to another 20 years in the woods?

I don't think this crime ;) was premeditated.

There is now way Ferrari would have imagined FM ending up at the front because of SV trying to put FA in the wall.

No, some genius planed this crime of the century on the fly from the seat of his pants in the Scuderia Ferrari garage.

There was sportsmanship back then. Now it's all about points (ie, $$$).
