Hey, at least it was the Anejo. In my best Most Interesting Man in the World voice, "I don't always drink tequila, but when I do, I drink top shelf. Stay thirsty, my friends." CW
You guys are a little hard on the dude. Its nothing I would do but to each his own. He obviously is doing something right to own a Gallardo and he is also rolling with the punches here. That says a lot to me. Lets come down off our high horses.
Thanks Jerry. Its all good tho. At the end of the day this was done for a good laugh and nothing more. Maybe it was dumb and maybe it was immature, but regardless it wasn't meant to prove anything. It was a simple bet, i let him take my car to buy the bottle to prove me wrong, he did. We laughed about it and that was THE END. Some of you cats here take life a little too serious, the way I am is if I think a post or thread is stupid or dumb, you know what I do? I don't bother posting. Showing your jealous side a little because I gave in to filming some of my cars? Don't matter to me tho, Im pretty sure if there wasn't a screen and keyboard in the way most of you guys wouldn't be saying anything to us in person anyways
1. Funny Thread.. 2. Stupid video.. 3. Adding the jealously bit makes this whole thread even funnier.. 4. Adding the "if you were here in person" BS though takes the cake.. Play on playa...
Hmmm... wonder why your friend wanted to get you drunk... without drinking himself... Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Well... I for one would tell you that was pretty stupid thing to do to your face. Better still, I would tell it to your face before you did it. But I would not have tried to stop you.
I do not doubt that sir. Like I said maybe it was immature to post it here and should have just kept it between us for a joke. But what im trying to say is all these stupid comments wouldn't be happening anywhere besides a forum. They do not bug me in the least little bit. Every time i read one of them I literally laugh out loud. This is nothing but a joke to me, seems like people in here are trying to make something more out of it.
Perhaps because it is a good way to kill yourself with out knowing you're dying till you keel over from AP or HP? Also, kids will likely see the video too and with the cars in it think it is a cool thing to try and really mess themselves up? If an 18 year old or even a pretty stupid 30 year old tries to top you by downing something even a little higher proof he is in serious trouble that the ER will be hard pressed to save them from. We have all done things that are pretty dumb and I can think of a a dozen reasons why doing that is not very bright. It's a lot like street racing. So I am honestly surprised you thought it would be well received here at Ferrari Chat.
Touche... I guess I really didn't look at it like that. We work hard but party hard too, we are big guys and it takes us a lot of alcohol to get drunk. We knew he wouldn't be in any type of medical trouble if he did it but I see your point on someone seeing it and trying to do the same thing. Like I said, it was all a harmless little bet but when you put it in perspective like that I can see where your coming from...
Bingo. Maybe OP doesn't owe any duty to random kids on the internet, but there's no denying that the combination of events featured in the clip and posted in this forum is socially irresponsible. That's so true! I've got to acknowledge your good attitude though.
You see, that's just it. With out some serious serum testing before hand, there is no way to know if he would be in serious trouble or not... till he was in serious trouble. (And I am not trying to rub it in, so please dont take it that way.) Big guy or small, everyone's body will react differently, esp when it goes into over drive once a HUGE dose of C2H5-OH hits his system. (This would be worse too if as an obvious weight lifter, he is taking protein or creatine, let alone "anything else," that is damaging his liver already.) Remember this one? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16614865/ She was a "dead man walking" when she left the studio. And no one knew it. Granted that was not a lot but I bet none of you thought, "what about the water?" I think fully a fourth of the people we hauled to the ER from drinking were in more trouble from the hydration coefficient than the alcohol. And the big problem with that is there is little we can do for you because an IV does not help. In fact it would make the problem exponentially worse.
PS. George, it wasn't just this forum that was saying what was said, the comments on the video were also saying it was 'stupid'. Glad you got the point. Love your cars, more pictures? Trying to salvage the thread
