Well the old patched up exhaust has finally let go on the GT4 - -Ansa? - and I want to go for one of the above.

I am aware Hans is an advocate for X - Ost. Any other comments re weight ,possible more HP between ? - I guess it is subjective but is their a winner if money is not a factor?

    Any comments appreciated.\

    Cheers and happy driving

    Nick

I vote for X-ost, not only they sound better to my they're cheaper too. Also from what I've heard, the guy that design the X-ost use to work for Tubi and/or use to design Tubi's

It depends. if you are buying new, then xost is the way I would go. If you are on a budget, i would build a magnaflow like many have documented here on fchat. Also, look around on craigslist and fleabay, I picked up a used Tubi for around $300, so the decisions was easy for me.

I have a X-OST on my '74 GT4 (the older brother of HANS' car) and it sounds AMAZING!!! My buddy hates it becasue he likes the sound of my car better than his 360Spyder. ;)
You pay a PREMIUM for the TUBI name and the X-OST sounds better IMO.

Tubi if you can get a good price on it. Full retail is nuts. For headers and muffler it is over 7K. YIKES ,,, Finding one used or at dealer cost is the way to go.

For my 328 I have choosen an X-Ost for the sound, the quality and the fact that they are slightly adjustable so easier to fit than Tubi and (most) others. The factory is near the Ferrari factory in Maranello.

    Hi Nick,

Loooonnnngggg story, but I had a stainless Mille Miglia on my 308GT4 - it worked just fine with the 308 engine and sounded great. Then the engine expired big time and I replaced it with a modded 328 engine and subsequently replaced the Mille Miglia with a Larini, which works better with this motor. So now I have a redundant stainless 308GT4 muffler - PM me if you are interested.

I went with Tubi only because I got a great deal on it. Otherwise I would have built my own. I think the tubi ads value (somewhat) to the car.

Even though I indeed have the X-OST, I slightly prefer the sound of the tubi. Marginal difference though. And with the X-OST costing me 1/3 of the tubi, the decision was easy...

If budget was not an issue, I'd pick the Tubi.
