i heard about this rally over on the lotus talk board. is there any way i can get in on this i have a 2005 lotus elise with 22k on it. i tried to pm but for some reason it wouldnt let me.

 

Perfect day today. I think you will all have a lot of fun on the drive. Not my usual high speed balls to the wall run, but there really are some beautiful roads. Plan on relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Steve and I made it in exactly 2 hrs today. That includes stopping to take a few pics. There are really some interesting places along the way to get some nice pictures. Not difficult at all to follow the route so I don,t think anyone will get lost or have to spend the whole run feverishly scanning the horizon for signs.

As a matter of fact, to make it a little more fun I am sponsoring a rally photo contest.
Who ever takes the best photo DURING THE RALLY and posts it on Fchat within a week of the event will get a free photo session.

Rules
1. Josh and I are judges. We're not eligible .

2. It must include your own car or the car you are a passenger in. (owners or navigators, or for Joe Zaff who may have 8 or 10 people in his Mondial.)

3. You must complete the run within 3 hrs of when you start.( so people wont get sidetracked)

4. The camera quality will not be a factor in the judging. Cell Phones are eligible, but I encourage you to at least borrow someones point and shoot. Trust me you will be glad you have the better quality a few years from now.

5.You can use post processing techniques( like HDR or silhouette or turning it into black and white.)

6 Enter as many as you want.

7. If there are other rules I think of I'll let you know.

Remember, Have fun and be creative. The winner will be based solely on Josh and my opinion.

The photo session prize will be at earliest convenience and include tons of Hi Res files on a DVD. You'll have to have your own prints made, cause I can't afford it.

Remember the car must be included in the image but does not have to be the main focus.

If anyone has any questions about the contest please post them here so everyone can know.

BTW- It must be during the rally because I don't feel like looking at 500 pics of abstract pieces of cars like you see from every concours.

that is a very scary find!! Well, i will make this statement and lets see if it sticks: I will own this 458 until I replace it with the Scud version of the 458. This car is insanity. It is too easy to drive in the twisties/ My only complaint: I catch up to people too quickly....

I can't wait for the MD Rally!!!! Although, Jon, I do not intend to go a mile over the speed limit

 

u intend to go at least 20!!!!

Although i know u never go over the speed limit and the rally is gonna be a great time to just take a nice easy drive thru the country side.

Cant wait to see all the cars and spend time with all you super people.

 

BTW in a total cave to paranoia and after what happened at the whip that night I think it might be a good idea to PM specific details about this event until post event. Hint Hint

I heard the starting point was somewhere near Harrisburg pa.

 

The starting point is just outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. (I got this from an inside source)
