Wow - did anyone else notice that Ferrari 348 pacecar at about 55 seconds?! :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    PS:
Oh yes, and the rest of the movie looks like it'll be pretty good too.

No idea... I've never been to Monza and haven't noticed a Ferrari 348 used as a pace car since I started following F1 about 9-10 years ago.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I have always noticed the 348 at the Italian GP. The last time i remember it there was either last year or the year before. Its always in the background. I have always thought it strange to, i wonder why.

I have the Senna life story on Laser Disc. Problem is, my LD player is in a box somewhere. If anyone here has a LD player, connected to a DVD, I would love to copy the LD so I can actually watch it.

I am getting married in a restaurant in two weeks where Senna would always have dinner when in Miami.

I know a guy in San Diego that has the equipment and the knowledge to make that happen. Send me a PM if you want me to put you in touch with him. He also sells a lot of the F1 teams their onboard camera systems.

    Fantastic video....

Anyone can fill me up what happened when Senna left a press conference at one part? Was it Japan 1990? Or was it 1991?

Looks like old stock footage (not that that's a bad thing...)

I would still buy it if I found it on DVD though, since a lot of my Senna videos are in VHS format.

Senna is STILL the most talented driver I have seen in an F1 car. He was an absolute racing genius and was totally fearless when it came to passing and carving his way through traffic.

Schumacher may have surpassed Senna's totals, but then again Senna was taken right at his peak, in the top team, and never had the chance to add several years of good numbers to his tally.

Having said all that, the ultimate game changer still has to be Fangio, How can you switch teams, and any team you drive for INSTANTLY becomes the winning chassis?

I think that re-releases of old footage is the only Senna movies we are likely to see. Antonio Banderas would have made an outstanding Senna and had the facial resemblance and when that movie was being discussed Banderas was much younger and Senna's death was still a recent event and in the public's mind...

Are you thinking of the driver's meeting pre-race Japan 1990? Senna left the meeting because he wanted his pole position to be moved to the left side of the track and the organizers said no.

That 348 is a Doctor's car on the safety team. It is always a chase car at the
back of the grid of the start.

It was at all the Ferrari Challenge Finales, when they where held in Italy.

no i think it was the fact they said you can go thru the chicane if you have a collision and can continue because it was safer then trying to enter back into the track with no speed, which he did in 89 after the prost collision and won but was disqualified for going thru the chicane!!!
