Cool collection!!! Thanks for sharing. FWIW, I've also met Tom Cruise (and a number of other celebrities) and he is extremely nice. Not snobbish or pushy like some of the other celebs. :)

This one has a story to it.

I ended up talking to 2 guys "Center gate" that wanted to watch Qualifying form an area that other fans had paid to be in. I looked at their credentials and saw that they were guests of Colin Edwards. So I said I didn't have an issue with them staying where they really were not supposed to be. Now, the reason they weren't supposed to be there is the other Fans had paid a lot of extra money to be in this area. But I wanted to be nice to at least someone over the weekend. Later on at the end of the day they come back around and the 1 guy asks if he could use the outhouse that was hardly used because it was placed for the AMA Riders to be able to use it. I look down and I notice the other guy has a Yamaha Visor Cap. I was like "Oh how cool! You got a signed cap." then he replies, "Yeah! I got it for you". I was shocked! He then shows me a T-Shirt all rolled up ready for use in Colins' Shirt Shooter. He then says "This is for you too". Even more shocked, I then said "No Way!" He then says, "It was for being so nice". That was one of the coolest things to happen to me in a long time. I would like to Thank him again but I may have to wait until next year.

    1. Visor Cap Signature
    2. Full shot of Visor Cap.
    3. Back of T-Shirt
    4. Front of T-shirt
    5. Ex-Coworker gave me a Ducati Island Shirt
    6. Valentino Rossi Official Fan Club Hat

Short Story for the VROFC Hat.
After Qualifying and the Race I was lucky to be posted at 1 corner of Parc Ferme. After the race I was with a Dorna Official to keep the fans from coming over the fence. We let 1 Valentino Rossi Fan Club Guy in. Then after it was pretty much over, Another Dorna Official let in the other Fans that were with the 1st fan. Afterwords the guy comes back and tries to give the hat to the Dorna Officials. They refused it, so I said I would take it. The guys then gives it to me, gives me a hugs, we got photographed. So somewhere there is some pics of me hugging some crazy cool Italian Valentino Rossi fan. So if anyone finds it, please let me know so I can save it.

Besides the Fan gifts, here are some other items I was able to get.
    7. 2009 Volunteer T-Shirt front
    8. 2009 Volunteer T-Shirt Back
    9. 2010 Control Bib #004 After I got my wifes #099 Signed, she was told she had to get another one.
    10. 2010 Control Bib #119 - My wifes friend didn't want it, so I kept it.
    11. 2010 Grid Bib #017 - One of the guys that helps out during this event who happens to be friends of Wayne Rainey didn't want to keep this, so he gave it to my wife.

I got a few things from the 2009 ALMS. This year all I got was some great pics from the Thursday move-in.

    1. Lowes Acura Banner. One of our crew got a bunch of items and shared them with everyone.
    2. My Operations Guide. On Thursday I was watching the festivities of DeFarren Acura Team with the special livery #66 for a tribute to Jim Hall and the Chaparral Team. I was able to get Simon Pagenaud, Gil De Farren and Jim Hall to sign my Guide as it was all I had on me at the time.

    Some behind the scenes shots
    3. Simon Pagenaud
    4. Gil De Farren
    5. Jim Hall

    A semi long read -

During the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Pre-Reunion weekend I was able to get some pics of the Lotus Evora Cup GT4 on the track when it was out on Saturday. I got some good shots. But a couple were actually very good. On my way to the after party I had shown a shot to Ann Bixler, Track VP of Event Operations. She says to me I should get Johnny to sign it. While in the Podium Garage afterwords I was checking out the Exos F1 car and I happened to speak to a gentleman and show him the shot you see in me holding in these pics. It just so happened to be the Director of their Motorsports division. He asked me if I could email the pic to him. So I got his card. I had then on my way out found out that they was going to be a few Drivers out on Monday for a Customer ride and drive for the Street Evora. So before the event, I was out wandering around and went to Target. Since Ann had mentioned it, I decided to print up the photo as well as 1 other that I liked. Actually 4 of each. When I got back to the track the event had just started and I approached the Gentleman I had spoken to on Saturday evening. I told him I had the prints and asked if he would rather have them right then rather than being emailed. He was pretty happy about it. Then I asked him to help me get the photos signed, all 8 of them. So while the drivers were not to busy they were more than happy to sign them. The Drivers - Johnny Mowlem, Tacuma Sato and Jimmy Vasser. I had a lot of interest when the workers from Lotus saw the shots. I have to print more and send them out soon. So I gave the Director of Motorsports his set and 2 sets to Ann, 1 set for her, and the other for Gill Campell (Track CEO, General Manager). So That's story of the photos.

Lucky Mr Valentino didn't mind you wearing a Ferrari shirt when you had him sign your Countach ( Lamborghini ). AUTOart 1:18 LP550-2 VALENTINO BALBONI Version is out!
But man I wish we know each other so that you can take me to this kind of events. I would buy you breakfast, lunch, and dinner just to be able to experience what you've just experienced meeting famous people, and on top of that seeing cars. Ferraris! Over here in Hawaii there is nothing like this. There will never ever be anything close to this. You are very fortunate you get to see this in person while others just like myself simply just enjoys it thru pictures. There's nothing like it seing all these in real life! Very lucky!

I picked up this R/C Countach a couple weeks back from the local Goodwill. I still need to buy some batteries to see if it works, but for $6.50, I just couldn't pass it up.

I'm finally going through more of my collection. Since I have had to go through some of my Diecast and sell some items off I have decided to get pics of other items and finally add to my thread.

I bought these items in Washington when visiting in July the week after MOTO GP.
I went to a place I frequent when I get up there to see what they have. On this trip I was specifically looking for Laguna Seca items as well as Dan Gurney items since he was to be at the Motorsports Reunion. There was a lot of old Programs that I could have bought that had articles on the track, but I didn't get them.

    1. Laguna Seca October 20-21, 1984 27th Annual Nissan GP Quinn's Cooler 300 Program
    2. Dan Gurney Autolite Ad
    3. Dan Gurney Eagle Team Black & White
    4. June 1966 Road & Track with Dan Gurney Eagle T2G

I had this for several years from when I used to own my Collectibles Business. I got a bunch of old magazines from a guy that wanted to get rid of them. Some I sold off, but I still have a lot remaining. I happened to be at a Swap Meet selling stuff and a guy was going through my magazines and he stumbled on this one. I asked him to show it to me and when I realized it was Dan Gurney I decided to keep it since he was going to be at the motorsports reunion. I'm glad I did. keep it. I say Garage Find because the boxes of magazines have been sitting in my garage for 4 years now.

One more reason why I decided to sell off my 1:18s. Too Much And not getting anything out of having it. 99% of the 1:18s are just sitting in boxes in the garage.

At least I have all my books and magazines in bookcases.
