Hello, everyone. I just purchased my first Ferrari, it's an 06 430 f1 spider. I was wondering how often everyone buffs or waxes these cars and what products your using. I LOVE this car and want to keep it looking new forever.

Buffing your car will depend on if there are imperfections, swirls, scratches etc. Washing and drying properly should help you with less or no buffing.

As far as waxing it is going to depend on a few things, weather, how much you drive the car, if it sits out in the sun a lot, how often you like to wax, time you want to spend waxing....on and on. You could use a really nice carnauba wax that will give you a very nice glow, deep rich shine. The down side of a carnauba is that it will not last too long. Carnaubas will begin to melt in temps at 129-139 F so if your car is outside a lot in the blistering sun you may only get one month to 1.5 months. If you do not mind waxing that should matter.
If you are wanting something that you can leave on there and not worry about lack of protection, you could go with a sealant. These typically won't give you the glow of a carnauba but still look great. Sealants usually last between 3-6 months depending on how weather, driving, etc.
Me personally, I love carnaubas. I love the look, plus carnaubas tend to sheet water off the car rather than bead up on the paint. When the water beads up, it just sits there. After you drive away a lot of it comes off. With a carnauba, the water will bead but it will also slide right off your car. This helps tremedously when washing and drying. After you wash, take the nozzle off the hose and rinse the car down with just the open ended hose. You will practically dry your car with the water.

I know that was a little winded, sorry.
One more thing, there is no "PERFECT" or "BEST" car shampoo, wax, polish, etc. There is only what YOU like best.
