No, it's the same ex-Toleman team that was successively re-branded Benetton and then Renault. The team where Ross Brawn and Byrne operated before following Schumacher at Ferrari.
Technically two different teams... also separated by over a decade. BTW, why are you trolling me from thread to thread? Not appreciated and a bit more courtesy would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Frank
Paranoid, eh? This is a forum: get used to people commenting on your post. That's the whole idea of forums, in case you don't know ... No, they were not "two different teams... also separated by over a decade". Ted Toleman sold his F1 team to Benetton 'lock, stock and barrel'. Renault became sponsor for the team after a while, then bought the team when the Benetton family lost interest in F1. Most of the staff is still the same.
For some strange reason it seems that Flav is only capable of holding a winning team together for two seasons and then it sinks like the Titanic. I think he´ll work for Bernie. They have lots in common.
I am quite aware of the fact that many of the same personnel still work within the same organization The organizations change names throughout time (Brawn/Mercedes) (Toleman/Benetton/Renault), Minardi through its many iterations once Giancarlo sold it, etc. etc. Technically Benetton and Renault are two different teams... might be the many of the same people, but the team name is different, branding is different, etc.
Yes but they are exactly the same story ! So its not gathering pace its just that two places repeat someone's interpretation of the German story which in itself may or may not be true
Flav's name is not showing up this often by accident. He will be a presence next year. The only question now is where.
