    Light just came on (1-4, only one side). I do not have slow down lights, just the check engine lights (91 348). Is this a Cat thing or related to emissions control equipment. I will be performing a major service soon, and will be removing the cats and replaceing them with Fabspeed by pass pipes. Up here in Crescent city Ca we don't get nailed for emissions testing, so good by cats. I just purchased the car a month ago and have been working on it ever since the day I drove it home. The car has 15,000 miles on the OD. The car is not missing and seems to run just fine with the light on. I don't plan on driving the car much until I do the major. Is there some way to read the ECU to identify the issue.

    First of all welcome to Ferrarichat, and welcome to the 348 Brotherhood.

    About your check engine light. The check engine and the slow down light are two different things. The slow down light means you have a problem with something related to the catalytic converters. The check engine light is for a problem related to what ever bank illuminated, in your case cylinders 1-4.

    Run a search of the archives on how to pull the engine codes, then pull them.

    Pulled the following codes 4121 Catalyzer temp ECU and1212 Lambda regulation multiplicative valve for self adaptation. Any help would be great!!! Thanks Milann
