Interesting pics. The engine is a lot taller and sits a lot lower than I thought.

Any further engineering changes to the motor? I'm not sure of the cams or timing spec they use, but I would think Ferrari would crank as much as possible out of the unit for race spec.

We may do a few but they've done a great job with it. We'll be running in endurance tune.

so you bought a 430 scuderia for the chassis and a gt2 for the engine?
why don't you use the chassis of the gt2?

It might be because it's intended to be on the street after the race.

There's probably a way, but it would entail jumping through quite a few hoops. Much easier for the DMV to process a known VIN from an imported and approved production car (even if it's heavily modified).

No. It's a non issue as although we have to use the 430 Scud chassis to remain street legal and make any modifications to worldwide safetly and emmissions standards in the end the chassis/suspention/etc. will be built to GT2 Specs. After the race we'll have a nice F 430 GT2 for sale.

It's the reason P 4/5 was built on a US legal Enzo chassis.

Very Pleased that we have signed our first driver and that he will be on board to develop
and race P 4/5 Competizione. We will be running two races prior to the 24 at the Ring.

I can't yet say who it is but I can say I'm delighted!

How will the interior be configured for the street vs. race? You won't be racing with airbags, I would assume?

No but we'll put them back after the race. The interior will be similar/Race like/ but the street version will have GPS/iphone/stereo and probably the Scud Steering wheel. Both will have AC and a back up camera.

I could be mistaken but I thought the F430 style side view mirrors were styled in order to direct more air into the fender intakes.

If that is true, that benefit would not appear to be a part of #3 or #4.

#1 is cool, and, IMO, promotes the classic yet future looking functional aspect of the project.
