LOL! I cannot believe some of the comments I am reading. Cheap oven cleaner will correct the sticky parts issue??? Ferrari? Are you hillbillies serious? I am a used car dealer and I wouldn't do something like that to a trade-in! I bought my first Ferrari (1995 F355 Spider w/ 7k) last November and I had Robbie at Sticky-no-more refinish my HVAC panel. It wasn't cheap but well worth it because it looks perfect. I found out about Robbie through e-bay as most new owners naturally look there first. My advice to all Ferrari owners with "sticky" issues is call Robbie at Sticky-no-more and just have it done correctly because its well worth it from everyday use to resale. Robbie also needs to advertise more on ebay simply because it's cheapest worldwide advertising available.

If I get to the stage of taking them off, I will send them to you to do anyway.

Does anybody know how to remove the 348 metal door handles ?

They are held on by one screw located right below it.

    Thanks.

I will check out what VTC suggests below and see if I can remove them, as easy as it sounds.

    YES !

If you don't believe me then go ahead, remove your parts, spend your $$ to ship them to Robbie, pay Robbie & ship them back.

Or, try the oven cleaner on a small part of the sticky bit. If it doesn't work, remove the rest of your parts, ship them to Robbie, pay Robbie, ship them back.

What have you lost? You'll even have some cleaner left to clean the oven.... :)

Why is the steering column surround so shiny? The paint or did you buff it out?

It's not shiny. May appear so on the pic but exactly the same as the rest of the parts - I'm just a cr@p photographer! LOL
Prob the overhead lighting in the garage (see leather above vents in next shot).

I did NOTHING except apply the oven cleaner and then wipe it off with a damp sponge.

Geez, when you guys gonna believe me ??

I believe you, except for the door handles and the ashtray lid--Oven cleaner will not take the sticky stuff off those metal parts and leave behind a decent finish.... At least I have never seen that on metal parts in the 1000's of parts I have done....

looks great! I never used oven cleaner but did use some plain iso. alcohol and it cleaned up the sticky mess on my ashtray pretty nicely.

Well, apparently, in the parts I have done it does. Besides, it's metal, paint, goo - remove the goo you're left with the paint.

Mate, I said OVEN CLEANER not PAINT STRIPPER.

Mine looks like goo on metal, when the goo is removed I think you are left with a silver/diecast finish of the metal.

    That's is a dame good job !

I have done 550 , 512TR, 360's etc with Wurth spray cleaner on some parts others acetone and soda in the blast cabinet, also some items like the steering wheel cover look better painted.

Rob does a great job from what I have seen and heard so if you don't have the talent or time. Send the off to Stickynomore !

Your left with a nasty looking pot metal finish. The metal Ferrari uses is not very good. I have had parts with scrapes, gouges, pitting, etc after removing the coating. You will either have to paint or buff out any of the metal parts after stripping...
