A bad photoshop but you get the idea, I'm sure someone can do a better photoshop job than me. I think that a redesign for the top and frame, like the photoshop picture were the fenders are exposed, can really improve the look of the car and make the rear look great. What do guys you think of this idea?

Eitan, I don't usually comment against other peoples personal views as of course we all have our own idea of beauty, but, that is bloody awful.
    Sorry !

    Rims look great.

As for the roof, I would rather vomit in my hand and eat it.

    Sorry.

Reminds me of an El Camino.

Note that I am not knocking El Caminos (I want a '65) but a Ferrari should not be confused with one. :)

No no, I think the whole texture of your original quote suits this far better, you painting your wheel centres yellow would be suited more to your second quote lol
I look out for your updates with interest :)

I agree with your comments as to to the way it looks it's a bad photoshop but with more rounded edges and a proper design I think it could look good.

It looks kind of like an El Camino. Not a good look for the 355, IMO.

    Looks horrible to me.

I always thought the spider needed LONGER buttresses, not shorter ones.

I think one of the most beautiful details of the 355-348-328-308 cars is the presence of the rear buttresses. The OEM 355 spider top does a good job of keeping the lines of the buttresses. In my opinion, the photoshop version of the proposed modified 355 top gets rid of the buttresses and hence the beautiful lines of an all time classic look. It's kind of comparable to making angelina jolie's lips thinner or cutting off Stacy Kiebler's legs. As Charlie Brown said when he hung that heavy ornament on that Frail Christmas Twig, "Oh no, I Killed it.". Sorry man, just my opinion.

+1. Please leave the top the way it is, what a beautiful design. When I had my 355 Spider, I left the top up more than down just because it looked so good!!

I really like the stock 355 spider top as it looks correct. The modified one looks to chopped off in the back IMHO.

Now all you need to do is remove the seats and console to make room for the purple suede loveseat. Also get smaller gold colored rims that stick out about 6 inches and have curb feelers. Add some air shocks so you can make the front bounce up and down. Then a set of fuzzy dice and a chrome chain steering wheel and you will be all set. ;-)
