Guys, I have a 1989 348 and I think my alternator is finally on the way out. I know I can have it rebuilt, but I do not want to tie up my friends lift while this happens, is there a replacement alternator for the car that is not ferrari?

Just jack the car up and remove the alternator. You don't need a lift. :D

A colleague of mine just did his yesterday, it cost him $52 for the rebuild kit from Canadian Tire (here in Canada :))

He has a 1991 348, he fried his alternator when he was cleaning his engine.
