Yeah, I know. I just LOVE them in red mate, so I bought them all in red. :D:D

All except the 410SA. Got a black one of those. ;);)

If they made red, I would have got a red one.:eek:

*A pic of the first few I picked up. ;);)*

Lets just say it is about principal. I have a black Pocher F40 in 1:8 with a lot of extra work on it, which would be a little more than what you estimate the value of your collection is. The price itself is not the point. If CMC can recreate a 250 TR the way they do and offer it for $300 ( I have no idea how is it even possible) then why in hell would I spend $800 for sealed resin model? I look at what is happening with the BBR Italias and I don't know if it is funny or tragic. $500 a pop because they are "limited"? So rumor has it they are going to make 30-50 variations (just different color combos) in "limited" editions of 100. So that means that your "super rare" 458 from BBR is made in twice as many numbers as your superdetailed 250 TR from CMC.
I can not afford to buy three CMC Ferraris at the same time. But I can buy one every three months and at the end of the year I'll end up with four unreal models never having to shell out more than $300 at once. It is not how much exactly you can afford to spent, but what can you afford to get for the money you are spending.

    Anyway, this is getting offtopic....
Lets just wait and see what Mr. Glickenhaus has in store for us.

    Fair enough mate. :):)

    VERY nice collection! :D:D

Would love to help you out mate, but I aint selling any of mine at the moment. :D:D

I got them all late last year and early this year. I havent even displayed them anywhere yet. Been to busy to really think of a place or get a cabinet etc..etc.

I pretty much have all the ones I want. I have mainly the road cars, which is what I wanted. I dont want the P4, 333SP etc..etc.

All my cars, (bar that FXX that was in the first batch of 13 I won on an Ebay auction) are the road going models. :):)

I may decide to go down the race car track later. Meaning I will get all the race cars and the F1 race cars etc.etc. :D:D

But thanks for the offer mate. :):)

When I said "deal", I meant some sort of a trade. I have everything you got, just a couple of colours that are different than mine. My California is blue and I want a red one also, but they disappeared from the market lately. I have the 550 Maranello from UT in Silver, but I want a red one now. But I have like 4 of them in different colours.
Anyway, if you change your mind, shoot me a PM.

Anywho, aint got none to sell OR trade. :D:D

Wish I could help you out, but I want to keep all my collection red thanks mate. :):)

If I come across a red California or 550 online somewhere, I will let ya know. :):)

Looks like you have a pretty awesome collection man. :):)

    Thanks again. :):)

    Hi Jim,

I saw a pic of a 4/5 in Race Colours in Top Gear magazine. Is this for real?

That is some great news! I hope I have the funds when it hits the market.

I prefer Diecast, but anything will do.
As far as Diecast, Have you talked to GMP?? I would definately buy it in Diecast if they made it.
You have a nice collection there BigTex!

HOLY CRAP! I have a decent amount in my collection of Diecast, but you have a lot. YOu need to talk to Black Horse. He is up there with you.

Jim, you mentioned them as a possible legal maker - has that gone away or have they jumped the gun or are you just not ready to talk about it yet? <g>

Can we assume that the Mattel deal has gone away?

BTW, I passed you in P4/5 on the Sawmill a few weeks ago - you were heading South near home. My head snapped around so fast and the "oh my God" I blurted out frightened my wife a little. Thanks for driving these cars on the public roads for the rest of us to see!

The deal to make both P 4/5 and P 4/5 C models is still very much alive and I'm hopefull it will happen any day now. It's not with Auto Place Models.

Thanks and don't frighten your Wife!
