Had some of the 'new' Bluegrass Brewing Company - Bourbon Barrel Stout. Apparently it is no longer "Jefferson's Reserve" brand, just some unnamed bourbon barrels to age in. A slight difference in taste, not as much vanilla or cherry, but the same, correct, perfect, amount of wood and smoke flavor at the end.

    Instead of a 4.5/5 for the Jefferson's Reserve, I'll give this one a 4.3/5

Had some more Jolly Pumpkin the other night - pretty good as expected. Like a sour Flemish stout.

Madrugada Obscura "Dark Dawn" – A Belgian inspired stout that is as dark as a moonless midnight, brimming of roasted malts and bitter hops. It will keep you good company in all places, be thay light or dark. 8.1% Alc./Vol.

Introduced my wife to Newcastle Brown Ale. I'm a fan and she "really" liked it. She also said it tasted a bit like Corona; anyone else think so?

    New Belgium Hoptober.

kind of impressed, as I usually don't like a) New Belgium beers, b) hoppy beers, or c) beers with stupid names. but this one works! :)

I recently moved into a different neighborhood and the Publix down the street has quite the selection; picked up some this for the weekend :)

Nice and crisp, especially during the heat of the day.

No Moly Ex distributed here in Michigan... and it is my favorite North country brew.
It has such a crisp-now flavor, followed by an aftertaste that just smacks right.

It is one of the few Canadian beers I like.
My friend has a nice co2 setup at a perfect 34 degrees :)

6 pack of Wernesgruner Pils in the fridge. Picked it up for $5 at Aldi's...
Billed as one of the worlds oldest breweries.

All in all pretty good pils, nothing too special but a solid beer. Great value, recommend it.
