Quick question to the guys who have already took delivery of their 458. How is the ground clearance? I've speced mine with the front lifter, but I'm very curious if I really need it. Feedback appreciated.

front clearance probably a little bit better than 430 (as less distance between wheels and front of car). But I still took the front lifter, and it is great: drove my car for 2000km and had a few occasions where I was happy to have it!

My understanding is that the F458 is 7mm lower than the F430. I cannot remember where my source is from.

on the other side my dealer was telling me that the risk to scrap the bottom is lower due to different distance between wheel axis and front... don't really know!
but real life shows that there are still a lot of parking exits where you would scrap without the lifter....

I have the lifter and have used it in places where the 430 used to scrape and the lifted 458 doesn't. Haven't tested these same places without the lift :)

F430 around Seoul generally has no big problems, especially with speed bumps. Occasionally you have to be careful with steep ramp entrances.

Been driving the 458 alot... and so far no problems without the lifter.

I don't have a problem and I DID have a problem with the R8, the F430, and a gallardo. When I was at the dealer we took out the tape measure and did a measurement versus a scuderia and 430. The 458 was higher. Was very noticable right next to each other.
