Went on an ice cream cruise with the FOA-Alberta Chapter last night. We avoided all the rain clouds all around us, I honestly thought the 550 Barchetta was going to turn into a Barchetta swimming pool! But no rain except for about 5 minutes of very light sprinkles. Met lot's of nice people and great cars! Unfortunately the video is only half as long as I would of liked because somebody forgot to put fuel in his car before going out!! We are at the Cochrane overpass and my last bar is flashing and the fuel gas pump image is showing up on my screen and I still got to get all the way back to Calgary and I am not in a Prius! Well, when you are running on fumes you tend to not have much fun listening to the engines symphony at 8500rpm, you lug along in 6th gear and watch everybody else have fun. Lesson learned! I did see something kind of neat on my display though, the gas pump image went away and a new warning came up. SLOW DOWN NOW! I think that means I better find a gas station NOW!!!

Before we fly the BS flag, this was part of a conversation I had with my brother who lives in the Calgary area. I am trying to find out what or who this might have been...

Ever had a family member say something along these lines?

"Ohh, I saw the most beautiful car today...in front of me at a red light. Red and curvy, 4 tail lights, or was it two...? It had a big wing and pop-up headlights...No, it wasn't this or that, no I don't think so..." My ensuing attempts to accurately ID the supposed car are almost always in vain.

That's what's going on here. The Lamborghini had a rear wing, and he swears the yellow car was so exotic looking it had to be something like a McLaren . Possible black markings. I'm thinking ZR.

Anybody?

 

Probably the ZR crew coming back from Edmonton after promoting the Race the Base event.

Doubt it was a black F40 and a yellow McLaren. Most likely the Edo Enzo that was mistaken for the yellow McLaren. The black F40 was probably the R8 or the DBS. The red Diablo was probably a Ferrari. That's an 0 for 3.

Since ZR was in fact out and about that day, I agree that it was probably the Edo Enzo that was thought to be a McLaren. As far as the black car being the R8 or Aston, definite possibility. However his description of the red car does not really match that of any Ferrari, besides maybe an F40 as it was said to have a large rear wing.

"It was a red Lamborghini with a rear wing, was that the Countach or the Diablo?'

'Could have been either.'

'I'm pretty sure it was a Diablo.'"

Not entirely important I suppose, just trying to confirm to put my own curiosity to rest! Thanks for the input and the link.

Hey guys, I have been trying to find winter storage for a 328gts. Looking on my fathers behalf. Wondering if anyone in the edmonton area could lead me in the right direction. All I have been able to find so far is storage units at places like sentinal. I was hopefully trying to find somewhere where other people have their summer cars stored, inside, heated, and secure. Thanks for any help.
