Any idea of a release date for this movie here in the US?

Japan gets it this coming week. Other than that nobody seems to know anything, with rumors of the UK not seeing the film until June of next year. That would seem strange to me, since it is a UK film.

 

Yeah, I also find it odd that they choose to show this movie in Japan first. Yes, Japenese loves Senna and look up to him like god but still, before a Brazilian showing?

Because the Jap media won't trash the movie in reviews like anybody else would, so they can make a quick buck off of the name "Senna".

Why would anybody get excited over this ? It's all old footage that's been seen over and over before, nothing new here. Just a pathetic attempt to take advantage of Senna's fans, who will buy anything it would seem.

It may be old footage, but it will be hopefully well edited and we will be able to watch it on a cinema screen rather than using YouTube or grainy old video tapes. I can't wait!

 

Don't know how you can say that without seeing it? Those that actually have don't seem to share your opinion. Its not all old footage either, there is some that is previously unaired.

 

Kind of glad its not a Hollywood version but that would be better at the box office.
If released in the US on the big screen it will be a flop. US audiences want a fantasy story not reality.

 

Very much agreed. The fact that it was not made to be a Hollywood fantasy is a big victory itself. Very much the movie I most look forward to seeing this year.

It sounds fantastic, I really hope it does make it over here. Top Gear did a very nice tribute to Senna this season as well, the in car shots reminded me how much smoother today's cars are to drive.

 

Has anybody found the movie yet? It has to be out there, this is the internet age...
