If, big if, they kept the weight down this thing would be awesome. Current Elise/Exige is great on the track, but try one with over 300 BHP....

    WOAH!!

Thans for the pics - love the front treatment!

350bhp will be a knockout if the weight is still low :)

If it's as a big as a boxster I'm in...considering the current design is a bit tight. :)

They say the weight is around 2450 lbs. Thats around 400 lbs heavier than my Exige. I think Lotus needs to keep it below 2200 lbs for the Elise in order to satisfy the hardcore Lotus owners and to keep their "add lightness" Philosophy. Its ok to built more profitable GT cars but they should not be messing with their core car.

I'm really not a fan of the new front design language. It will be interesting to see how these concepts differ from the production models. I now appreciate the design of the current elise much more.

The new Elise is said to be a few inches wider, longer and taller. According to Kevin Smith marketing Director for LCU, weight is said to be between 2300-2400 lbs. with an inline 4 cyclinder forced induction that will put out about 319HP. Price is set start at $55K...not bad seeing that the current Elise SC 220 HP version starts at around the same price point. I'm really digging the new style tho.
