The Triangle Italians will be gathering on Saturday, October 2nd for the monthly Cars-n-Coffee. We will be meeting at our regular place (Brier Creek Commons) at the junction of Highway 70/Glenwood Ave and Interstate 540 @ 9:00AM.

Breakfast and coffee will no longer be available from Camille's Sidewalk Cafe...however, it’s a short walk to either Caribou Coffee or Bruegger's Bagels for coffee and grub.

For those in the Cary / Morrisville / Apex area, we'll meet at Leith Volkswagen (back near Mercedes Benz) around 8:15AM and caravan from there...always a great drive.

Weather permitting, this month we plan on leaving Brier Creek Commons at about 11am and drive to Carolina Brewery in Pittsboro (120 Lowes Drive, Suite 100, Pittsboro NC 27312) for lunch. Check out http://www.carolinabrewery.com/ for details. There is ample parking and it looks to be about a 45-50 minute drive heading out I-540 to rt 55 then out 64 west (a pretty drive). Let me know if you are interested.

We look forward to seeing all the area Italians out and about!

For those on the fence, the day is supposed to be bee-u-t-ful. The last drive to Mambo Italiano was great. I heard from Tim M. that pictures have been framed and hung in the restaurant from that lunch meet.

Sorry we missed it - absolutely beautiful day and we love Pittsboro....and beer...and Ferraris...and hanging out with you guys - (this is depressing) Unfortunately duty calls and I'm running the store on my own today. Hope you all had fun.

It was a great showing, and we did not drive to Pittsboro after all. After a brief discussion, we decided instead on Tyler's Tap Room in Apex which gave us a chance to sit outside with some pints and pizzas. We are kind of liking this meet at Brier Creek and then take a drive idea, definitely a good spin on the whole meet up thing.

Great turnout! You F-car guys were sadly low in numbers though. Saw only 2 there, Blue Mondial and a Yellow 355.

Well that could've surely had a effect on it. Silly question, does anyone in the area own/come out to CNC with any of the Elite 4 (288GTO/F40/F50/ENZO)?

I've not seen one of the E4 at CNC, but hopefully Daniel will show up some day in one. BTW, it was a good meet although I really only came for the after meet drive in my P-car. Bob Ingram opened up his collection in Durham for Hurricane members and it would have been blasphemy for me to show up in the F-car. The after meet drive to Tylers was nice too, especially the dopplebock at the final destination!

I know Greg is rebuilding the suspension on his car and Keith had to bail at the last minute, so that was two more who did not make it out that are fairly regular and Woody's car is on consignment and I don't know if he has gotten his new 458 yet. Not one of our better showings but just wait until the Toys for Tots drive in two months!

it will not be a top 4 model but I am looking at 550s and if I can find a dark blue / tan in the same shape as the 328 I will need a bigger garage! I know there is a black 550 in town but have not seen any others in the region.

It's not as nice a drive to North Hills from Briar Creek, but another agreeable venue is Vivace in North Hills. Nice outside seating and good food with thin crust wood fired pizzas a nice lunch item, washed down with Pironi.

Again, apologies for missing the day.

I guess he'd have to go by both of our houses to see your entire car since several hundred of the pieces are still residing on my work bench. Oh.......and Greg, the 6'er you broght last weekend was only good for that day. Another day in the shop will necessitate the need for an additional 6'er.

This looks good Keith.... http://www.vivaceraleigh.com/ for those who want to check it out. Let us plan for lunch there after the next meet especially with it being only 15 minutes away. I like that "agreeable venue" comment, how can we not go? I can almost taste the Peroni.

I talked to Jay the manager at Vivace and they will be delighted to rope off ample spaces right in front of the outdoor seating area for us. I will just give him an approximate car count a few days prior to Nov. 6th

Irishman has three more days in the Ferrarichat hoosegow so I have to post under my real name until I'm free.

Maybe after Vivace we could get a sample of the 12'er and a tour of Greg's Ferrari parts??? :):).
