I wonderd if there is more information about the traction and launch control option on the 348? is there a software change for the ABS-ECU or is it more than a simple piece of software? After long nights of surfing on the internet I cann't really find what I'm looking for so maybe somebody over here can explain the mistery??
Thanks in advance and solly for my bad english ;)

    Welcome to Fchat buddy. :D:D

There was/is no factory fitted launch control/traction control for the 348. :):)

Well there is, its called your right boot.:eek:

Fchatter Angelis has fitted some traction control to his beautiful nero 348 from memory. :):)

Perhaps he can chime in and share his thoughts with you. :):)

Thank you for your warm welcome!!
The reason I ask was the many times I saw it in this link:
    http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&biw=1659&bih=835&q=ferrari+348+launch+control&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
It suggests that it was a factory option??
Other way around with the (for 1992) very sophisticated ABS system it is technicaly possible to implement these 2 systems.
I myself have a racinglicense and raced for a year in Alfa Romeo's so somewhere there must be a useable right boot ;), but I'm also a car technician and I realy like to change some little things. This will be one of them if possible.
I'm looking forward to a reply of Angelis 8)

I would categorize the launch control as mythology.

Hi Pap, I got the Traction Control system before I got the LM engine.

We've decided to use the Motec TC system instead now so the Raclogic one will either go on another car or up on ebay.

So it can be done or made with aftermarket ECU's?
Is there a known conversion of Bosch ECU to programmable injection (with I hope 1 ECU instead of two)?
I myself have a Megasquirt (KDFI) on the shelf... unused because of my cancelled racecar project..

No, the Motec will be installed with the new engine.

Sorry, can't help you on that one.
