Or some such thing. Going to look at a 348SS tB tomorrow. Local car (has lived in the area since it arrived from Italy)--not on the radar screen as far as I know. Frau (vs. F40) seats. Unknown condition, but needs a service. Red/tan. Owner may (or may not) want to sell. I'll report back.

Looked at and drove the car. In one word, magnificent and exactly what I am looking for. Some in this section have opined that this would not be the car for me (previous 360/430 owner) because of the lesser performance envelope. These are reasonable concerns.

But, the looks, and the feel of the manual steering, and the lack of stability aids, etc. is fabulous.

I'm hooked. The challenge is that the car I drove may not be for sale (the owner is having second thoughts about selling, based I think on the current value for these cars). So the search is on! I still like the idea of an SS.

I knew you would love these cars Scotty!
They are a lot of fun to drive. Truly a drivers car.

Well, I due owe you an apology. I did figure that after having been in the 360/430 camp you would find the 348's raw go-kart feel a bit crude and uncivilized. I'm glad you got to spend a little time in one and see why us 348 owners sing it's praises so loudly.
