Here are two models a just recently completed.
Ferrari 360 Modena and Spider tuned up by Hamann. They are made to replicate Richard Hamann's personal Ferraris, which he used to prototype the parts. The seats in the Spider are my moldings and now they have backs and Daytona inserts.
It was a shame I had to repaint the entire cars just because of the gas cap on the cars.

For some reason I'm diggin' the Spider more than the 360 coupe. For me if that is my Modena I would color match the wing and the add on spoilers on the bottom red. That would look aggressive!

Lucky - Would you mind sharing some information about your painting & body finishing? What brand of paint did you use? What was your process of painting, polishing & finishing? Thank you for your comments.

It is automotive duplicolor grey primer followed by Tamiya Italian Red (TS8) and then topped by Tamiya clear coat. The red was sanded with 1000 grit before the last wet coat of red. At the end the final clear coat was wet sanded with 2000 grit followed by 3M rubbing compound and then tamiya polishing compound. Everything was waxed with Meguier's Tech Wax.
    Hope this helps.

By the way Lucky, how many coats of red did you lay down on the car before you wet sanded for the first time with the 1000? I've had good luck with a wet polishing cloth system that begins with 2400 & goes to 12,000 grit. It's very tedious though as there are 8 different steps from the 2400 to the 12,000. The final finish is a liquid polish.

    thank you for posting those.

I am in the process of making some Novitecs also.

Here is the headache with the Capristo exhaust

Two large diameter plastic tubes with different size are glued together

Then they are stuffed with epoxy putty

and industrial solder is run through them

Thin strips stirene are glued on

and then are sanded thiner and rounder and everything is sprayed black primer

after the exit pipes are bent and cut, a little fitting is made from plastic and little extrusions are made that later would fit into the other part

the cats from f430 are modified and fitted to some more solder.

And a comparisson with the crap that comes in the model

and a little test fit :D
