http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170548901904&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT Have my car listed again----Curious to see the final number, although it won't hit the reserve....
Hope it hits your reserve, but don't hold your breath. I've got 3 "buyers" trying to scrape up the $2000 deposit. WTF.
Almost all zero feedback bidders. Perhaps the most important question is, "will money ever exchange hands?"
One thing about ebay is you never know??? When I listed my '66 Porsche (3 times) I had the first two back out, both with over 100 feedback. Then the third time it ended with someone that signed up that day.. but he ended up paying the deposit the next day, then showed up a week later with the remaining money and drove it home... He said he only signed up to bid on the car! Good luck..
I sold 6 cars now thru ebay, including 2 mid year corvettes. I did not have anyone back out, however, I didn't get what I wanted for any of the cars either.
sorry to see it go (if it does)...love that rare yellow stitch interior. Hmmm...if the buyer doesn't come through give me a call, I'll swap in my interior
lol I offered this guy $50k many times and was told he rejected so many offers at that price... Same thing @ $57k and $65K... too funny
Tony----I rejected those offers months ago, after going back and forth for weeks with you only to find out you had no intention of ever buying the car - At one point we were less then $3K apart on making a deal and you refused to come up on your offer even $1 after I reduced mine thousands - Not sure how funny it was, I just chalked it up to us not being able to make a deal. Since then decided to let it go for $50k--Last time I checked it is my car to sell for what I wish to whom I wish..... PS - According to you, there are so many great cars for cheaper money out there-----Did you ever buy a 355? Let me guess, no--because you had no intention of buying one....
Yea, but I highly doubt the deal will go thru. Not very confident on someone who bids at the last minute and never once asks me any questions about the car. Some dipsh^t who made an account just to see my reserve....hhhhhhmmmmmm
Robbie, I wouldn't be too quick on this one, I have brought and sold many cars (not this value) on our local 'eBay' type website, in my experence the buyers are normally the ones who just bid, the rarely ask questions and if they do it's a phone call and or a visit to see the car then a deal is done. I hope this pulls through for you but at that money I would damn near sell up all my crap over here and relocate just to own your car, if $50k is market for your car I seriously need to consider moving over, that's just nuts!!
I was right----Message from buyer telling me he accidentally entered the wrong amount when he bid at the last minute.... He is contacting Ebay to let them know so I can get my ad fees returned....
Don't rely on him to contact ebay, you should. If he doesn't, and a month passes and you forget (like I have in the past), they will not refund the fees. Just my .02 cents
eBay sellers keep in mind that only ~$1 over 2nd highest bid shows up if the high bid doesn't meet reserve. I've bid $50k on cars to only have $16k show up because some other dolt only bid 15k and reserve was likely 55-60k. Sux your buyer was probably playing the "I wonder what reserve is" game when, oops! He bought a Ferrari. Even so, that's way too cheap for your car. What a sad, sad market we're in.... GLWS
So, here is your opportunity The car is for sale at {your price} You are a buyer at {your price} You are not a tire kicker but actually have the intention to buy a Ferrari {F355} I don't see the problem, unless, you never were/are a buyer at {any price}
Its interesting. He has a yellow 355 Spider in his profile pic, his name is Ferrari355spider and he wanted Robbie's yellow 355 Berlinetta. Interesting and riveting stuff.
What?! A BS'ing-wannabe-Ferrari-dreaming-renegging-tirekicker??? With no money??! On FChat? Nawwwwww!!!!
