    I went out today to start the 16m and the battery was dead (forgot to plug in the battery conditioner). I called the local dealership and they said it was no problems if I opened the passenger footwell where the battery is located, and used a power pack to get the car started. When i did this and turned the key on to the II position all of these warnings came on in the car. The last time the car was driven there were no problems and there is only 660 miles on the car. I was not able to start the car even with the power pack connected but the battery did seem to have more juice in it.

    Has anyone else ever run into this problem before? Any suggestions?

    I don't know what to do for sure. Maybe disconnect the battery and charge it and reinstall. Or turn off the battery switch off and turn back on to reset things.

    If the batt is completely discharged(or sulfated) you may have to leave a charger or jumper on long enough to break through the sulfate. Never-the-less, the battery will probably need replacement.

    Sounds like the battery is cactus. :):)

    I JUST replaced the battery in my 348 yesterday. It was flat and I couldnt jump start it either. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I ordered a new battery and changed it out yesterday. All good now. :D:D

    I took the old battery down to my local autoparts place and we load tested the battery. After a full charge, it only had 11.3 volts and 190CCA. The load tester told us to replace the battery, it was ****ed. :D:D

    Battery is a 500CCA, so 190CCA means it has dropped a few cells. All good now, should get a few more trouble free years from the new battery. :):)

    I would remove the battery, have it load tested. If and when it fails the test, replace with a new one. :):)

    Thanks, Im worried about all the messages that are coming up on my car that wernt there before. Everything from CST lights blinking, tire pressure, suspension system, service!. Has anyone heard of those problems happening just from a low battery?

    Yep. Low battery wreaks havoc mate. :):)

    My 348 climate control (HVAC) actually wouldnt work with the flat battery. And this battery of mine had 11.3v in it, which was not enough to crank the engine. :eek::eek:

    When I installed the new battery and turned the key on, the HVAC come to life. :eek::eek:

    After talking to a service guy today I attached 2 different power packs to the car to see if i could get it going and sadly nothing. I am gonna see if i can get one with more cranking amps and see if that does the trick. All the instrument light come on and i can hear the pumps kicking on but when i go to start the car all i hear is the starter clicking. I dont wanna let the car beat me, but if nothing works tonight im gonna have to call a tow truck to come in tomorrow to take in in the shop :/

    Man, I think the battery if F**KED! :D:D

    Do batteries come under warranty over there in the US? :):)

    If you cant change the battery yourself, have it trucked to the dealer and have them replace it. :):)

    Its an easy job, but some people just dont have the tools to do the job. :):)

    After spending lots of time and lots of curse words later, the car has life!

    An expensive transport for a low-cost battery swap. Dealers just love it when that happens, as they can demand top dollar for doing nothing!

    I reckon. I remember reading here not too long ago the dealer charged this one Fchatter $400 for a battery for his 430. Dont know what labour costing was. Ouch! :D:D

    I would have the battery "load tested" to ensure it is still working properly. You may need to replace it.

    Well after talking to the dealer he told me that is wasnt uncommon for the car to need more then one batter pack to jumpstart the car, and that they took a lot of juice to get going. So I contacted a friend with a MAC 200 watt jump starter. Plugged it in and gave it a crank, started right up ( after i remembered to unplug the battery conditioner).

    And just for everyones knowledge i asked the dealer on the phone what it could cost me if i needed to take it in. They said that the tow was free if you have ferrari roadside but to replace the batter it would cost about $500 with the battery and labor. (A simple job anyone could do at home).

    Did I hear someone whisper 'RIP-OFF' ??

    Dude, no way would that tow be free, it would be covered in the outrageous price for the battery.
