Depends on the road, the cops around AND how big your "you know" whats are!! LOL LOL In all fairness...when I hit about 165-170MPH in the 94SE30 in an un-named location in Nevada earlier this year..the car starteed to have major lift from the front and I had to back down...BUT BOY oh BOY it sure was a great 15 plus mile run...AND it was all on film from the aid of a Helicpopter we hired..filmed a lot of the run and is to come out on DVD in November...looking forward to that.. I can also add I have a NEW love for the SE30 and I think it is with out question one of the top three Lambos of all time..it performed FLAWLESSLY from Seattle all the way down to Las Vegas..one of the best road trips I have ever had.. It ought to be very stable all the way to 202 mph. Of course it depends on the road and wind conditions too.. Front-end-lift was a thing of the Miura's day, when the front end became lighter as the gas tank emptied!!! Some also saw front end lift in some Countachs with a rear wing mounted where too much down-force was being generated in the rear relative to the front (remember Countach wings were never tested and simply applied for aesthetics).
I've done those speeds and I noticed the downforce increased with speed and the car was more planted the faster it went. Like Joe said, road conditions, wind, and probably most important imo is that the ride height front to rear are correct. Front/Rear can easily be adjustable up or down, and I've seen some SEs raised a bit in front to aid in saving spoilers, and that little adjustment can affect the high speed feel.
Hi SAB. Some more for you. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
i always thought purple was the best color for the SE30...i am not more so sure looks great in black! is the F40 yours to?
Thanks Elms, great photos. SE30 are quite rare in black, apparently there used to be another one in the UK but I believe that was a left hooker. Sadly it is no more. Sab
Elms, that's the one. It definitely looks black from those photos. It may be some odd shade of black, a metal finish maybe. There was a bit of a dark history to that car, well I assume it's that car anyway, as it is (was) the only other one in the UK that I know of. Unless there's another black one here! Sab
Actually it was pearl black, and not the Deep black that you see on other SE. Too bad it crashed Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
How come that car doesnt have the small windows ? Was that an option on the car or is that car just have after mkt parts ? The rims, nose, side vent skirts, engine cover are all correct but whats up with the windows ?
There are some SE30s that have had the full side windows put in rather than the small opening windows. As far as I know, most were done by Lamborghini at the owners' request. Most were probably done after they left the factory originally I believe.
Absolutely love your car in black, but those modded intakes would definitely look better in original guise IMO.
Correction: all factory Jotas originally had the 400 kph speedo (unless you are looking at one that has had that component removed by a seller who decided to keep it for example). In any normal SE, a 400 kph speedo is a post-production application.
Correct, as with the yellow car number 10 in Texas for example, the full windows were post-production application upon owner request, albeit done by the factory in the cases I am aware of (don't see why it could not also be done privately).
Am I right in thinking that there were 3 racing SE30s in Japan? Do you know if this car was a standard SE30 from the 150 that was converted to raciong specification or was it a special order, bearing in mind that the Lamborghini factory never really got involved in race cars?
All of the three stands exist in Japan. 3cars are special order. There is a certificate of the factory, too. It was made because of the GT race of Japan. At first, it was the same suction machine as SE30 jota. It was equipped with SE30 jota it. However, it was unsuitable for the race. And, the system of racing power boat was used. It was developed and it was used for Diablo gt. 3cars are special car for Japan GT race of SE30.
I would like to find out the vin# of these cars to see if they are 1 of the 150 cars This is what P01 looks like now Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anyone got an idea what this is? It does not look like one of the 3 race Jota. Could be another Diablo model? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The number is said by the owner that it must not open it to the public though it is regrettable. The Japanese likes jota very much. Two pieces are articles on the prototype of SE30 jota.
